  • House of Mirth

"Six of us recently stayed at the House of Mirth for a New Orleans bachelor weekend. We couldn't have picked a better place. The house was in a fantastic location and just a 10 minute ($1.25) street car ride to the French quarter. The neighborhood was very unique with all of the amenities and excellent restaurants nearby (Katie's was amazing). Not once did we feel unsafe. Elizabeth (owner) was very helpful and provided us with some excellent insight on the surrounding area. Everything about the house was exactly as described. Needless to say " The House of Mirth exceeded our expectations "!"

  • Super Stay

"My husband, son, and daughter in law just stayed in this "vacation get away" for a week. It is in the heart of the French Quarter and within walking distance of everything there. The house was well stocked with everything that we needed and the owner had left details of restaurants and other information that only locals know, grocery stores that deliver, delis, etc. The decor was New Orleans and we enjoyed it immensely. It was only one block away from Bourbon Street but quiet for the proximity. I would wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental for anyone wanting to stay in the Quarter."

  • Perfect Escape in the Heart of it All.

"We Really enjoyed this townhouse. It felt like we had a taste of the French Quarter with the exposed brick and beams, but all of the amenities were first class. The home is on a quiet end of the French Quarter, but turn the corner and you are back in the fun. You rarely hear any street noise. I love that it is 3 stories up and you are not at street level. Everything worked well and the washer and dryer came in handy as we were not use to the heat and ended up changing clothes 2 times per day. The beds and furniture felt new. Really a much superior location to stay than any hotel. Lastly, there was about every basic you woul need from condiments to ample fluffy new towels. We even found curling irons! The only two things I would mention is that we had no idea how to get to the patio described in the listing. We didn't want too, but if you do I don't know how you get there. Second, my daughter eats toast for breakfast every morning, but we could not find a toaster. Granted there was every other appliance. Should we be back to NOLA, this is where we want to be. Caution, 3 flights of stairs to get in and another to get to the bedrooms. Worth it, but may not be good for people with issues walking or very small children."
