  • Exquisite, yet oh so comfortable.

"I booked this house for a group of young professionals, all seasoned world travelers, for a weekend celebration. Everyone was ecstatic over the quality of this property.. The house is incredibly comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is a great size, with high-end appliances. You will wish you could have just one of the beautiful chandeliers in the house. The back courtyard is perfect for a late night tête á tête. The neighborhood was easy to navigate, and even the slowest pedestrian can be in the heart of the French Quarter in minutes. There are quite a few lively bars, cafes, and restaurants in the near vicinity as well. The owners are gracious and delightful, and can regale you with humorous anecdotes, if you are so inclined. A truly unigue gem! My friends and I are already plotting a return visit."

  • Excellent location, perfect stay

"If you are looking for the best possible location and a very roomy place to stay without being right downtown (but only minutes away), this is where you want to stay. The place was awesome, had everything we needed and then some. It is located just 1 block away from super hip magazine street and it's awesome little shops and restaurants. You'll find a ton of good places to eat right around the corner. If you forgot something, there's a walmart about half a mile away from the property. The owner was extremely nice, sent us a ton of info about the things around and made sure we had everything we needed, that the property was as described and up to our expectations. Having chose this place was by far the best decision of our entire trip! Book it, you will NOT be disappointed."

  • beautiful

"This was the most beautiful and peaceful setting I've seen in Louisiana. Enjoyed fishing for bream and hanging out on the back porch swing. Close to stores and restaurants yet private and secluded. Will. Go back soon"

  • Just as pictured and described

"We were two natives returned home to play for a week. The first word in the title of Frankie's Place (FUN) was all I needed to give it our consideration. Frankie was very easy to work with and was gracious even though we were searching the evening before arrival. He had a parking space set aside for us and let us know of his favorite local eateries in walking distance. For the most part we spent our evening time on Frenchman at Bamboula's. Best fried oysters we had ever had and our first intro to an Abita "strawberry gator". Delish! We stayed aware, but never had any major stranger dangers in walking to and from Frenchman or the Quarter at night. It was fun in the morning to swing the doors open and drink coffee at the patio table in front of the door. It put us VERY close to the locals who were all friendly, maybe one a little too friendly :o) The Friendly bar across the street started perking up in the late afternoon and stayed audible until the middle of the night, but thanks to Frankie having Apple TV, we could play a nice "summer rain" noise through the speakers and drown out the street noise. The bed was very comfortable and the flat was outfitted with everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Being able to eat in and do laundry was a huge plus. IF you are able to travel with your bike, there are TONS of folks in the Marigny pedaling around, you might like to join them. We would definitely recommend this flat. Just bring your ipad, iphone or other device with a good white noise app for quieting down the fun outside!"
