  • Jazz Fest 2014!

"Our group arrived on Wednesday for the 2nd week of Jazz Fest and were quickly greeted with a warm reception by Kelly, Mark and Percival Winston (their pup)! Everything was setup for a great start including a nice cooler filled with refreshments! Kelly stopped by each day to check in to see how our trip had been going and offered up great suggestions to the neighborhood and NOLA in general. We also enjoyed the neighborhood...there are many little restaurants, bars and local music vensues in walking distance. Each room was very clean, warm and inviting. We were so pleased with our stay and hope to return next year!"

  • Scott delivers what he advertises!

"My family ( myself, age 49, my 75 year old mother, her 66 yr old girlfriend, and my 52 yr.old husband who dropped in for a few days) had the pleasure of staying in Dr. Scott's home from 10/28-11/4 2014. The home was as advertised, was in impeccable condition, and what a great house. We all had room to spread out, and it was unbelievably convenient to EVERYTHING. We stayed here as I wanted to be in a home neighborhood vs The Quarters. (not that there's anything wrong with that)The restaurants uptown are not to be believed. So good. The house is wonderful, when I travel I always rent villas and will not stay in hotels. This house was the bomb. The jetted tub was alot of fun! and romantic by candlelight. The main bedroom does indeed cover the whole upstairs. Obviously, if you have traveled, you know that quirks arise anywhere, but that was very minimal in our experience. A light or two out does not negate the wonderful experience, and I am so happy that we booked this particular residence. I would stay here again in a hearbeat, if he'd have us. The pics and video are true to life, but don't do the home justice. Magazine street is RIGHT at your fingertips! NO itself is wonderful.....my best tip would be the street fair at Freret Market..once a month Sat. got all my souvenirs there. We ate at La Petite Grocery, Commanders Palace, Upperline (Joanne rocks), Atchafalaya, Revolution, , Mr. B's, Coquette, The Italian Barrel, Antoinnes, Irenes, Louisiana Bistro "FEED ME" I did not have a bad meal in NO, period. I highly rec all. Overall? GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Thank you, Scott!"

  • Fantastic!

"This is a great place nestled right near Magazine Street. Easy to walk up and shop/have a drink and on the bus route to downtown (you can't beat $1.25 each way and 24/7 bus service). The house was fantastic and suited are needs very well. I was here for a conference with my wife and a co-worker. We took the bus downtown most days and, despite the rain, was very accessible and useful. We walked up and down magazine street and up to St. Charles (where you can catch the street car). Charlotte was a fantastic host and was helpful every step of the way. Despite some cosmetic issues on the outside, the inside is fantastic. Two bed and two bath suited the three of us very well. The kitchen and all the appliances worked well. This location allowed us to explore more of what New Orleans is like and not just by going up and down Bourbon St. The three of us felt safe walking around at all hours of day/night. And even if we weren't, a cab ride is about $10-12 from the French Quarter. Bottom line: Great house, Great area, Great host and we'll definitely recommend and come back."
