  • Perfect location

"We had an amazing trip to NOLA. There was a party of 9 and we went there for my 40th birthday. The house is fabulous for a large group of people. Perfect location. The house is located three blocks from Frenchman street and a few more blocks to Royal and Bourbon. There was a lock box on the front of the house to hold the house keys, this was fabulous since there were 9 of us staying there. We could all go opposite directions and never worry about who had the key or how we were going to get into the house. The key lock box is very convenient. The house was great, nice bathrooms and very spacious. Beds were comfortable and having a washer/dryer was convenient. The owner was easy to deal with and very accommodating."

  • A jewel on the Bayou

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Mojo on Bayou St. John. It is a wonderful home, modern yet still displaying character and charm of the home. It's in a great location and we were very comfortable there. Our boys loved the backyard and picking blackberries from the garden just made their morning. It certainly made a differnce to have essetial grocery items available in the kitchen. There are family owned grocery stores nearby and the community coffee shops are perfect for a morning chat or open mic session in the evening. The neighbors were very nice and so were the ducks from the bayou. We felt part of the community and it was great to get away from the business of the touristy areas. We traveled with our two young boys and it was great to have City Park across the street. We even ventured into the canoe that is left for guest use. I am not sure how easy it would be to travel from this location without a car. There is a street car stop closeby, but if you are visiting areas outside of that route, it could take a while to get there. I would recommend this home and when visiting New Orleans, I will certainly look to stay here again."

  • Gorgeous house in great walking neighborhood

"We stayed here with friends for five nights in May and absolutely loved it. The house has so much character, and everything is in excellent condition (the kitchen is fantastic, and fully equipped with any appliance or tool you might need). We spent a LOT of time on the patio and in the hot tub. A few of the reviews questioned the neighborhood, but we saw no reason to worry at all. We walked to and from the Quarter, Frenchmen Street, Marigny and Bywater at all hours of the day and night. It's a decent walk to the French Quarter, about a mile, but there are several ways to get there and they're all interesting. (You can also pick up a 3-day transit pass for a mere $9, and there are at least two bus stops nearby.) Our friends had a car for a couple days, and had no trouble finding parking out front on the street. If you're looking to get away from the insanity of Bourbon Street while still being able to visit it any time you want, this is a great location. We will absolutely stay again next time we're in NOLA."

  • The fishermen

"We totally enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and had everything we needed. At night you can catch catfish on the end of the pier. The owners were very nice and hospitable. Our only complaint was our first night there, there were workers working on steps to get down to the water. They were there until 11:00 at night and all day until dark the next day. Just a bit short on privacy while on vacation. Otherwise a fantastic trip."
