  • Great little place and very convenient!

"We spent a fun weekend here with our three kids. As stated in the listing, it's half a block from a huge Whole Foods Market, and Magazine street is famous for small shops and restaurants. It's close to the zoo, Audobon park and the Audobon public tennis courts (all "soft" courts!) We took the #11 bus straight to the WWII museum and to the French quarter. The house is clean and modern with a washer and dryer. Full kitchen. Loved it!!"

  • Great stay!

"We had a wonderful time at the house and loved living like locals. The place is very spacious & provides plenty of room for a large group. The location is excellent - a short walk to the Quarter or Frenchmen's Street, but away from the hustle bustle. Great screened porch on the back of the house and nice porch on the side. Would definitely book again!"

  • Best Location in Town!

"New Orleans is one of our very favorite cities, and we've stayed in all different parts of the city, but this location was simply fantastic! We were right around the corner from some fabulous restaurants, just a few blocks from the river, and only a short walk, bike ride, or cab ride to the French Quarter. The neighborhood is really eclectic and friendly. You can't beat it. The house fits the same description: eclectic and friendly! We felt right at home, and we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Gabriel was super prompt with answers to questions and gave us some good tips for things to do. The bicycles provided were a nice little bonus. They aren't fancy, but they do the job! We used them to bike over to City Park for a Saturday picnic. We really appreciated that this great house lets you truly live like a local for a few days. We would definitely stay here again."

  • A Fantastic Place To Stay!

"During a recent week-long stay (a sister's get-away and to visit family) in New Orleans, my sister and I found the Caprice Cottage to be everything we hoped it would be! Located in the Faubourg Marigny, an area right off the French Quarter, this wonderful Creole cottage is right in the center of things. Within walking distance of the Quarter, a few blocks from Frenchman St. (where a lot of the music clubs are located), and also the cottage is a quick cab ride to the Bywater area where a few of our favorite restaurants are (Elizabeth's and The Joint). The cottage is beautiful - decorated with antiques, interesting photos & artwork everywhere and loads of room especially for two people. We especially loved the front porch and the secure front gate and fence that surrounded the cottage. When we first arrived we met Frederick, the manager, who was so nice and available anytime if we needed him. Everything was fine so we only saw him again at the end of our stay when we reluctantly handed him the keys to the cottage. I also wanted to mention when booking the cottage the owner PAUL (whom we never got to meet - he was away) was a pleasure to talk to and was always available to answer any of my questions through e-mail or by phone. So renting the Caprice Cottage was a really great experience. We will definitely stay there again. The only disappointment we had is that it is already rented on dates we wanted for next year!"
