  • Perfect accomodation and excellent location

"We stayed during Mardi Gras. The owner was very responsive and "check in" and out was easy. The Master Suite is downstairs, and the huge bath with fluffy white towels, robes and slippers were a welcome surprise from other VRBO accomodations. The upstairs contains a landing with a futon and hall bath, and two suites. The only potential negative is that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the second, in each suite. This was not a problem for us, as we were divided by families. The added touches, like make up mirrors and televisions in each bedroom were thoughtful, and helped with sharing one bathroom upstairs. There is also a separate half bath off of the kitchen, washer and dryer, and plenty of supplies - toilet tissue, etc. There is a neighborhood bar two doors down, but even during Mardi Gras, we did not hear any street noise at night - there are loitering and noise restrictions. Last, it's located between Magazine Street and St. Charles for easy access to street car, shops, and restaurants. Obviously, we were comfortable and would stay again."

  • Perfect Location/Charming Condo

"My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. We could walk to everything. Absolutely no need for a car rental. The condo itself is well equipped, safe and secure. The bed is very comfortable with nice linens. The courtyard is quaint and peaceful. After long walks, we spent a great deal in the courtyard, much to our enjoyment. The free, shared washer and dryer in the courtyard was a nice touch and came in handy. It took us awhile to find a decent grocery store. If you are wondering, Rouses is by far the best for a good selection of fresh vegetables, breads and meats. Hotel St. Marie offers a great breakfast at the Vacherie, 2 blocks down. If I was to say one negative thing about the condo, the steam shower is lovely but the shower stall itself is very small. Other than that, it was perfect and I would stay here again."

  • What a gem!

"The Gypsy house was perfect for our group of six. This home had all the amenities we needed. Large living space and 2 good size bedrooms with a queen mattress we laid out in the living space. The bathroom was nice. There is a nice courtyard but you do share it with others. We were walking distance from a grocery store and restaurants. You really can't beat this home for the price. I highly recommend it!"

  • Charming Suite in an Ideal Location!

"We just returned from a 6-night stay at The Dryades Suite and would not hesitate to rent this stylish and comfortable suite again. My husband, my son (20 years old), and I loved living in this residential, uptown, location during our New Orleans vacation. We felt like residents ourselves, which is why we prefer to choose a VRBO rental when we travel. The design of the suite is set up so that there can be two, separate, sleeping and living areas; wooden, antique, sliding doors are installed for this purpose. This feature was key to being able to relax during our "down time". All furnishings were obviously chosen with care, and fit our needs very well. We visited a nearby Walgreens to pick up bottled water, drinks, and a few breakfast items, but that's all we needed. We appreciated the easy, on-street parking in front of the house. We chose to rent a car because we wanted to be able to make some side trips, if we had the time. The streetcar is a quick walk from the suite, and it is also a great option for touring. The Dryades Suite was exactly as advertised. We have only positive things to report about our communications with the owners and managers of this property. As an added bonus to our trip, we were treated to a street-wide, New Year's Eve celebration, complete with champagne, fireworks, and a party at the owner's house next door! What FUN! We couldn't have asked for a better display of New Orleans hospitality."
