"First of all what a great opportunity to be able to stay in a historic house in the French Quarter. The apartment is lovely, clean, well-maintained. The courtyards and pool are beautiful. Divine Ursulines is tranquil (it's only a block away from Bourbon Street, but the Quiet part) and just a great place to stay. We would highly recommend it and Carol is a great hostess."

"This house is beautifully done! Decor, amenities are all top notch! The best feature is each bedroom having a private bathroom, which makes it great for couples sharing a place. A short cab ride from the quarter makes it a perfect place to call home while visiting NOLA!!"

"This was our first trip to NOLA and we were very happy that we chose this house. Rick and Linda were very easy to communicate with and our check in and check out went smoothly. We called Rick when we were leaving the airport and he was waiting at the house for us by the time we got there. We had a tour of the property and went over a few local spots for food, drinks and entertainment. We handed over the cleaning fee and the house was ours.
Check out was easy, too and we got our security deposit back within 3 days of checking out.
The house itself is full of character. If you're looking for pristine, perhaps this is not for you. But if you want a taste of the local ambiance, an interesting history, comfort and convenience this place is perfect. We were a group of 6 (3 couples). There was plenty of room to hang out together as well as enough space for privacy. It is important to note that the 3rd bedroom (on the 3rd floor) has only twin beds and there is no door. You can't see up into that room from the other floors, but sound carries easily. It also gets a bit warmer than the other rooms in the house. The other two bedrooms are of equal size and across the hall from each other on the second floor. Lots of exposed brick and antique-y furniture. You can access the balcony on the 2nd floor from each bedroom as well as the common area between these rooms. The living room is cozy and the kitchen is perfect for a quick breakfast in the morning. I'm sure it's fine for other meals as well, but we didn't really cook (so many great restaurants to try in the area!).
The location is great, less than a five minute walk to Bourbon and Royal streets and less than 10 minutes to Frenchman St. There are also little markets/convenience stores a block or two away.
Since this was our first trip to NOLA, we had no idea how compact the FQ is. I loved that we were so close to food, drinks and entertainment yet were in a quiet spot at the end of the night. There is a great little courtyard with a fountain and we'd usually start and end our days there.
There is a security camera at the front entrance and the gate at the street is locked. We felt very safe.
We were not a rowdy group, but if you want to be partying at the house know that they are strict about keeping noise levels down and not having extra guests. There are plenty of spots nearby to let loose.
