"We stayed in this lovely quaint house this last weekend arriving on Thursday and departing on Monday. We had two couples in our party arriving and departing at various times and Lee, the owner, was so sweet and accommodating. The location is amazing and the house was adorable. Lovely Elliot came and visited on numerous occasions when we happened to be stopping back by (he looks like a pillow pet!!!). The courtyard was gorgeous and the area was superb. We were on foot the entire time there and easily found a nearby convenience store, a ton of restaurants, shops, bars. Bourbon street is near enough to crawl home but not so close that you can hear the clatter. I felt 100% safe and secure and cozy during our entire stay. Lee is a gracious host and pointed out several areas of interest and helped with anything we needed. We had all the necessities upon arrival and the balcony of the upstairs bedroom/bath areas are beautiful to wake up to. What a great time!!!!!"

  • Quaint, romantic, perfect location, comfortable. Will be "our place" from now on!

"We go to NOLA each year for our anniversary. We usually stay in hotels but thought we were ready to truly experience what it would be like to be. "Local". Searched vrbo and found this little gem. Let me start with the ease of booking this perfect home away. The owners couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. He had such a pleasant personality when talking with him on the phone. His responses were timely. He suggested places to go, etc. Next let me talk about Regina. This beauty was adorable and helpful from the first text. As soon as we arrived, she was there with her warmth and pretty smile to let us in and give us her instructions. She was so accommodating and full of suggestions. Now onto the unit. It is charming, clean, beautifully updated, perfectly located, tempature was perfect, romantic and on and on. The kitchen is stocked with your necessities. Bring your own spices, oil, etc. We made eggs Benedict with bloody Mary's one morning, omelette the next. We made filet mignon, sautéed shrimp for dinner. Everything I needed was there. Bring some ziplock bags and foil, too, you may need them. The adjacent den has a flat screen tv and comfie couches. Perfect for watching our Alabama football game. The bedroom is quaint and romantic with its very comfortable rod iron bed and brick wall. We didn't realize until we were packing up that there was a tv above the closet. Whoops. The bathroom is perfect size. Jetted garden tub was to die for after walking all day. Shower was very comfortable with its rain shower head. The courtyard is where we spent a ton of time. We ate our meals out there, enjoyed our cocktails and conversations. It is quaint with its brickwork, plants, patio furniture and lights. There is even a stereo in the laundry shed that we plugged our iPod up to and enjoyed playing jazz. We saw another person once for about 10 seconds. Otherwise, it felt like we were the only ones there the entire time. We never heard any noise from anywhere. Not from the bar next door, the street, nothing! Little chinese restaurant on the corner has the most amazing lo mien and sweet and sour chicken I have ever had. Rouses corner market was about 4 blocks away. That is where we picked up our filets. We went to the French Market for the first time and picked up oysters and fresh shrimp for dinner. We parked our car and didn't use it again until we left. Everything is too convenient not to walk. Just perfect"

  • What a great studio apartment - awesome location!

"A PERFECT location to enjoy everything in the French Quarter - and beyond! Studio was clean and surprisingly quiet. The only outside noise we heard was the pleasant sound of the Cathedral bells. Working with Adena was easy. I'd easily recommend Royal Living to others - and hope to return myself someday."

  • Great for a couple's get away.

"The studio was as described and perfectly comfortable for a couple. It was more comfortable than any hotel room and the relaxing atmosphere was great to return to after wandering around in the noise and energy of the French Quarter. Being back in a courtyard area really made the studio much quieter than I would have expected. Immediately outside the courtyard is busy and active. It did feel strange entering the courtyard from the street a couple of times when there were musicians or artists seated right next to (or even in front of) the door to the street. However, simply being aware of making sure the door closed completely behind us was sufficient for a feeling of security. (And the individuals seated in front of the door moved without any problems and were actually quite pleasant about it.) There were a couple small glitches with internet/cable but these were resolved quickly and easily. Cathy was very easy to work with and responsive. Overall, a very good experience which we would do again."
