  • Great house in the Marigny right on Frenchman

"I recently stayed in this two bedroom on Frenchman street and would certainly return to it. Our guest count was up in the air and keep changing and Karen was very accommodating by letting us add more guests and then letting us lower the final guest count. We also had issues on the last day with our flights and she was very understanding and did not mind us staying around longer than we agreed on. We didn't get on a bus once or take a taxi (except to Voodoo Fest and the Airport) the entire time that we were in town. It is a very accessible location and even better for those like us who like Frenchmen better than Bourbon. Very easy to walk to our favorite venues which are a few blocks south on the same street. Karen checked in a few times via text to let us know she was around if we needed suggestions, umbrellas, etc. Based on the pictures this place was exactly was we expected. Thanks, Karen!"

  • family from Texas

"The property is just as it appears. It is in a great location if you like exploring. We parked our cars on the street and did not move them the entire stay. There were 7 in our party 4 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for us. We stayed 5 nights and 4 days and it was an amazing vacation. I would not recommend walking at night from the location to the FQ. We did that 1 night and it was interesting. We walked everywhere from the location during the day and had no problems but we would taxi back and forth after dark. Taxis about $10 each way. Just be aware you are in a big city be aware of your surroundings! As another review said it is loud, because of a busy street just outside the property but its NO it adds character to your story. During MG they take the floats right down St Claude to their home and you get a birds eye view of everything. The property has its quirks but its a older and what older home doesn't. It has a lot of stairs as soon as you walk in the door and not much of a landing at the bottom so you have to go straight up with all your luggage and other personals. I noticed a problem with the amount of hot water but again character quirks. I love NO and will go back every chance we get and would stay at the property again given the opportunity."

  • Excellent Thanksgiving Holiday

"My girlfriend and I just returned from our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We loved staying here and will definitely be coming back. We drove in from Atlanta and the location was perfect - easy access from the highway, ample free parking on the street and we were a short walk from everything we wanted to do in the French Quarter without being in the middle of the French Quarter noise. The accommodations and amenities are as good as advertised - I will admit that I couldn't figure out how to use the TV, but this wasn't an issue (I wasn't there to watch TV) and I am sure Frankie (the property manager) would have helped if I had asked him. He was very quick to respond to any questions I had. As a few people have mentioned, we did experience some street noise - it was not an issue for us, but if you are a light sleeper (or have young children who are light sleepers) you might want to plan ahead (white noise generator, ear plugs, etc.). Frankie (property owner) was very easy to work with and accomodated our arrival on Thanksgiving Day - he even had New Orleans jazz music playing on the radio for us when we arrived - it was a very nice touch and helped set the tone for a great weekend stay. I definitely would stay here again (we are already trying to decide when we can come back), and recommend the place to any couple looking for a romantic getaway."

  • Wonderful Again

"When my wife and I decided to return to New Orleans for a Thanksgiving vacation, a big part of our excitement was we would get to stay in this wonderfully comfortable guest home. Spacious, inviting and gracious hosts who care about the details of a great stay. Ron and Mark provide a great experience for their guests. We enjoyed the hot tub quite a bit, lounged in the super comfy king bed and rested in a peaceful neighborhood. When we return to New Orleans, we will return to this lovely home."
