Amazing Trip Made Even Better!
"After visiting New Orleans for the third time with my fiancé, we have definitely found our favorite place to stay. The home is beautiful and flawlessly decorated. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and the hot tub is a great bonus. Ron and Mark are incredibly friendly and accommodating and full of interesting history about the home and area. We also became fast friends with Ti-Ti the Bengal Cat who is always happy to say hello in the morning. The location is unbeatable as it's a short walk to the Quarter, but far enough outside of it that it's quiet at night. We have already booked our next stay and highly recommend this cottage to anyone."

"Perfect place for a couple to stay and enjoy the food, music and drinks of New Orleans. Just a few blocks from all the action on Frenchmen St., where we spent all of our evenings. A short walk to anywhere in the French Quarter, but the location itself is a beautiful quiet neighborhood so it's easy to get sleep when you're ready.
Also, just a few blocks from Gene's Curbside Daiquiris on Elysian Fields. Make sure to stop there to get a cheap drink to enjoy while you're sightseeing."

"I've stayed at a lot of different places in New Orleans over the years and this house was incredibly charming.
First of all, for those who may be confused about the layout of the house, the house is a shotgun house. A shotgun house is a narrow residence, usually no more than 12 feet wide, with rooms arranged one behind the other and doors at each end of the house. This style was incredibly popular in New Orleans and throughout the southern US after the civil war up until the great depression. This means to get to one room, you have to go through the others (so you better like who you are staying with). If you are staying in a group of people and want privacy, this may be an issue. However, if you want to experience a traditional New Orleans house then this is perfect.
The photos don't do it justice. The house has incredibly high ceilings and it actually much bigger on the inside than it appears from the photos. The kitchen is massive and has a ton of appliances, there is a washer-dryer in the house and a cute little patio courtyard in the back.
There are two rooms with double beds but the couch is huge and wide. A friend and I passed out on the couch one night watching TV and were both able to sprawl out comfortably. There is a lot of floor space in the rooms and you could easily put an air mattress down, too.
The house is within walking distance to Frenchmen Street and some great restaurants. The quarter is a little further but still a reasonable walk. If you want to go to Canal Street or to the other side of the quarter though then you may want to call an Uber (if you don't know what that is, it's an app you can download on your smart phone and then request a driver, it's cheaper than a cab) because a cab is a little more pricey.
All in all, our stay was wonderful and we all loved it."

"There was a group of six of us staying in the apartment for five days - and this place was absolutely PERFECT!!!!! The description of the 1 bedroom made us a bit nervous - but once we arrived and found the large loft and attic - we quickly fell in love with it. We walked to Frenchman Street, Bourbon Street & the French Quarter every single day/night and it was the most perfect walk. By the time you arrived to the area, you could quickly avoid the loud scene of Bourbon Street. We will definitely be renting the apartment on our next visit to NOLA!"
