  • November Stay

"We just left the Mehle house - had to travel to New Orleans for a family funeral during Thanksgiving week. This home made for a cozy, relaxing gathering place for our family. We were so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel, and were able to provide meals for our family-in-need. The gardens were beautiful to walk thru, and a nice distraction for our visitors. Nick was more than gracious, and tended to any needs we had. He didn't hesitate to accommodate our pets, since it was way too late to get boarding on short notice. Overall as good of an experience you can have under trying circumstances. I'm sure the beautiful pool & gardens would be spectacular fun during the warmer months. Which is almost nine months out of the year in New Orleans!! One last note - perfect location! No more than 15 min's drive to most any area you want to visit, WITHOUT the noise & excessiveness of staying downtown or in the Quarter. Big thanks to Nick for his hospitality & lovely home!"

  • Perfect Fit

"The title says it all. My family and I are from all parts of South Louisiana and we are now spread all over the country. Once a year, we all converge on New Orleans for a few days and our preference is to stay in a house so we can all be together and further enhance our visit. With 4 couples and a handful of kids, the Nagle House was a perfect fit for what we needed. The main room in the front of the house served us well for congregating, eating, and just hanging out. The additional units provided the right amount of privacy for those that wanted to slip away and sneak in a nap. The house was also a perfect fit because of its location. Nestled in the heart of the Garden District (the part of New Orleans that you never see on TV), we found ourselves in walking distance from a couple of must haves; Starbucks and Po' boys (Parasol's who by the way showed some southern hospitality by letting our entire family and tag-along friends take over their dining area). For those that may be concerned about safety, this is a neighborhood and the passersby all extended a "Hi" or "Hey y'all" as we made occasion to lounge on the front porch. Besides that, there's ample lighting on the property and enough on the street to not be annoying. I would recommend staying there as a family or as a group of friends looking to feel at home in The Crescent City."

  • Fabulous Home

"This house is exceptionally beautiful and comfortable. Our family of 8 easily fit with room to spare. The grounds are gorgeous, too. The owner was very helpful and accessible. The drive into NO is very quick, but it's nice to be outside the city center. Our one suggestion is that the TV's be fitted with HD and more channels. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful."

  • Nice place to stay!

"Everything was very nicely equipped, decorated and clean. We were a bit skeptical at first of the surrounding neighborhoods but the more we walked around we felt very safe .Lots of charm and character to the historic homes and easy access to restaurants and bars.Although we did have a bit of trouble navigating because we've never used streetcars or buses. Our android phone was on the blink at times so that didn't help. We did ride the streetcar on St Charles Ave but the track was being worked on so it was a bit of a walk to get there. We relied on taxi service most of the time. We recommend the stay here if you don't mind being further from the French quarter. All in all we didn't mind because we go to see more of the neighborhood. Dined at Pascal Manale and the waiter was very helpful as to what to do and not to do lol..Owners were out of town but their daughter was very nice and helpful as well. We loved New Orleans! Thank You so much! The Iotts Michigan"
