Beautiful, comfortable historic house in perfect location
"I turned to VRBO for a place for me and 5 friends to stay while visiting New Orleans for the first time, what we got was more than a place to stay - we felt we got a touch of the history and spirit of the city with this house that's over 150 years old and survived Katrina. Everyone loved the house and we all want to go back, in part to stay in this house again and explore the neighborhood more. A few highlights:
The owner was very kind and flexible - allowing early arriving friends into the house ahead of scheduled check-in.
The house has a beautiful backyard garden, screened porch and upstairs balcony - to where our party naturally migrated for drinks and socializing.
The house is in the heart of the historic Garden District - for example, we walked to dinner on Magazine Street (where there is also a grocery, art studios and wine stores) and also walked to brunch at Commander's Palace. The house is a few blocks from a street car stop that takes you straight to the French Quarter and other attractions (WWII Museum, Super Dome, etc.) in a matter of minutes and for a few dollars.
The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and each had their own private bathroom.
The entire house was clean and welcoming.
We loved this house and would definitely look to stay here again!"

"What a truly beautiful place to relax and have fun in New Orleans. We felt comfortable from the minute we walked into the place. We didn't want to leave and will be looking for to our next trip there. We were there for Halloween and Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street did not disappoint anyone. New Orleans knows how to throw a party!! We use our cars during the daytime, but at night we took a taxi into the city and most grateful we did as parking was a nightmare then. But maybe this is only because of the Halloween festivities! I would recommend this place to anyone who visits the area. You will not be disappointed. From the comfortable beds, to spacious living, and nice big back porch....everything is there to provide you with an enjoyable relaxing time. Book this place....you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you Jami for offering your place to visitors to enjoy your home."

"Beautiful 2 bedroom unit! Great location that is walking distance to everything. The unit was very clean and we appreciated the bottled water in the fridge and supply of coffee! Mia was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was the perfect home to host my husband's and my fifth wedding anniversary and vow renewal. We invite family and friends, 16 of us under one roof and we were all comfortable. The owner was pleasant and hospitable. She took time to tell us about the neighborhood hot spots and closest grocery store for snacks and supplies. The location is awesome. One must try pascal's manale, superior seafood, ferret street po'boy and donut shop (fresh donuts), and high hat cafe. These are all within walking distance from the home. This location is a 20 minute cab ride from bourbon street and a 3 block walk to the trolley. The pictures definitely don't express the large amount of space this home has to offer. We never felt like we were on top of each other. There's three wonderful and gorgeous outdoor spaces to gather, enjoy the beautiful landscaping of the front yard on the porch, the second story front balcony over looking Napoleon, or the backyard where the everyone can relax around the pool/BBQ. I'd like to thank the owner for making our first trip to NOLA special and memorable."
