  • A Fantastic Place To Stay!

"During a recent week-long stay (a sister's get-away and to visit family) in New Orleans, my sister and I found the Caprice Cottage to be everything we hoped it would be! Located in the Faubourg Marigny, an area right off the French Quarter, this wonderful Creole cottage is right in the center of things. Within walking distance of the Quarter, a few blocks from Frenchman St. (where a lot of the music clubs are located), and also the cottage is a quick cab ride to the Bywater area where a few of our favorite restaurants are (Elizabeth's and The Joint). The cottage is beautiful - decorated with antiques, interesting photos & artwork everywhere and loads of room especially for two people. We especially loved the front porch and the secure front gate and fence that surrounded the cottage. When we first arrived we met Frederick, the manager, who was so nice and available anytime if we needed him. Everything was fine so we only saw him again at the end of our stay when we reluctantly handed him the keys to the cottage. I also wanted to mention when booking the cottage the owner PAUL (whom we never got to meet - he was away) was a pleasure to talk to and was always available to answer any of my questions through e-mail or by phone. So renting the Caprice Cottage was a really great experience. We will definitely stay there again. The only disappointment we had is that it is already rented on dates we wanted for next year!"

  • Wedding wk end

"Four couples stayed for three nights to attend a family wedding in New Orleans. It provided private rooms for each couple. Only change we would have made was giving bedroom by kitchen to early risers instead of late sleepers. Not a problem with house just our planning. We used public transportation to get Around town. Went to French quarter, city park, Audubon park. Bought bus day pass for $3.00/day for unlimited use/day. Daily Bus pass can be used for streetcars And bus. We walked to grocery store for breakfast and lunch supplies. It worked out well for us. When using bus we did allowed extra time since traffic made a difference with buses being on time. Bus riders were helpful and very friendly. Loved the local culture. The owners were available for help via phone when we had two questions. Beds comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We sat in back yard for wine late afternoon before heading out for evening. Each time we had a nice breeze. I would recommend this home."

  • Dryades House Perfect for Jazz Fest 2015

"For a crew of 10 and only 1 car, this house was in the primo location for us to move around the city during Jazz Fest weekend. The proximity to Pascal's Manale and Charlie's Steakhouse were both nice bonuses, as well as the Il Posto coffee shop. All three places within one block. Would recommend the house for other types of groups and trips but for Jazz Fest, I couldn't imagine it being a whole lot better given it's central location to the Fairgrounds (~12 mins), Tipitina's (.8 mile walk), The Maple Leaf (~8 mins) and the French Quarter (~12 mins)."

  • Safe and Sound for Mardi Gras

"Beautiful luxury property in safe neighborhood. Joined 2 other couples with teens for Mardi Gras weekend. Street parking and rear lot for overflow. Cab ride to French Market/ Quarter only costs $20 w/tip. Owners nephew one house down, met us on day one, owner (Larry) stopped by on last day to see how we liked everything. We all ate at Old Arabi Eats - half mile walk, lively local establishment, check it out. We will be back in August just to enjoy the front porch and beautiful décor."
