"I traveled with a close friend to celebrate a shared milestone birthday year. We loved being able to share the house and yet retreat to the privacy of separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Being able to walk easily to outdoor cafes along Magazine Street was a real plus that we took ample advantage of, along with easy walkable access to a grocery and to pick-up points for tours that we had made reservations for. Not to put in a plug for Uber, but it never took more than a couple of minutes for us to get a driver to take us from the house to distant locations. There's so much we want to return to New Orleans to do, and I know we'll be looking to book this spot again."

"We just loved the house. There was plenty of room for two families and four teenagers. The upstairs had a beautiful living area and kitchen for meals and a great balcony to enjoy sunsets. The downstairs had a private room and bath and then two other small rooms with another three beds and a bath. The pool was big and the outdoor area had a nice big grill and seating under a big tree.
The prize of the house was the bayou. We fished constantly and caught perch and catfish on worms and hot dogs. The turtles were everywhere and caused a few problems by eating bait and were difficult to get hooks out. I guess we could have found a turtle recipe. There were three alligators that hung around and the kids had a great time watching them. They were scared the first night of the four foot long gators, but by day three were in the canoes and paddling down the bayou.
The house has nice TVs, good internet access, two full kitchens of good dishes, and lots of comfortable furniture. The landlord responded quickly to text messages and everything worked wonderfully. The location is ideal. We could drive to the French Quarter in 45 minutes and went to Mississippi beaches in about the same amount of time. There is a 24 hour Wal-Mart grocery and a Winn-Dixie grocery about ten minutes away and Slidell has a very nice downtown for restaurants.
We will definitely stay at this house if we ever plan another vacation in the area. It was a wonderful experience for all. It is hard to find something for four teenagers that won't bore them and this place did the trick. They loved walking around, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and it made a great time of relaxation for everybody."

"We were 3 women in our 60's.The place is lovely. As others have mentioned the key can be difficult but once we figured out to push the door in and not try to turn the doorknob we were fine. The extra keys to the condo door did not work at all. Not a problem since we were always together but would have been if we wanted to split up.
The condo looks better in person than in the pictures. All three beds including the pullout are very comfortable. Having one bathroom was not a problem for us. However, the shower door kept coming off the track and once one of us got stuck in there and could not move the door at all. We had to rescue her. :-)
The condo was very clean and had all we needed. We did not come to NOLA to cook but the kitchen is well stocked.
Courtyard is pretty and pool nice but could use a cleaning. However, we only had one hot day and then it got chilly.
Overall it was quiet and private, except for when the children upstairs would awaken early in the morning and make loud noise running.
It is far enough from Bourbon St not to have all that noise and commotion.we did have a group of revelers make noise but only one night walking by.
We had plenty of privacy, walked all over the French Quarter and would recommend this place to anyone. We would definitely stay here again. Although the 10 am checkout is early and 11 am would be better."

"My Husband and I stayed in the Carriage house on Royal Street during the last week of Mardi Gras. (Our first visit to NOLA). From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a fabulous choice. The location was perfection, walking distance to all the top galleries and fine dining, An easy walk to Cafe DuMonde and Jackson Square, and if you like, to Bourbon street. Even though we were only a block from Bourbon, it was quiet and felt safe. Its easy to get a pedi cab to the parades if you need one. The carriage house is small, but comfy, the big bed was filled with pillows to sink in and sleep like a baby after a day of exploring. Tiny kitchen was perfect for making morning coffee and late night snacks. Bathroom is tiny but has everything you need. You must love old houses and expect this vibe here,This isnt a cookie cutter hotel experience. The courtyard was beautiful filled with flowers and fruit trees. if you want to absorb the French Quarter atmosphere and true Southern Hospitality look no further, The owners were fabulous and invited us up to the main house to toss beads from the Gallery and have a cocktail. The Main house is amazing and filled with beautiful art and details. We hope to come back with our adult sons and rent the main house in the future. The big house second story would be a Honeymooners dream, large canopy bed and fabulous decor. We cant wait to come back!!!!"
