"We had an excellent vacation! This house is in a quiet location with everything you need. Just a short drive to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. There is plenty of room in this house for kids and adults to coexist. Our teenagers loved having the space in the basement level to play pool and watch TV. The hot tub was a plus after a long day of activities. The owners were very accommodating and great to work with.
I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation."

"I've been meaning to email the owners and thank them for sharing their amazing vacation home with us. Their Maine home is so very peaceful. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the home. Their description and photos on the VRBO site simply don't do the home and view justice. The view was breathtaking, whether it was the morning sunrise reflecting on the water, the evening mist rolling in, or the moonlight illuminating the night. The home incorporated so much nature, and it was fun to notice the subtle touches through our week's stay. The home is very close to Schoodic and the drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia was quick and scenic. We stayed with our two kids and had plenty of room. We would highly recommend this home to others!"

Beautiful views, awesome property, nice owners and caretaker
"We loved this place. The house is old and charming, a typical Cape farmhouse on a beautiful lot overlooking the Northern Bay. The owners checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and their Down East native caretaker stopped in a couple of times to say hi. Lovely old barn, meadow, and creek with lots of wildlife to photograph (even Eagles and Bobolinks aka skunk birds!). Great centralized location for exploring Castine, Bucksport, Bar Harbor (Bah Hahbah). We'd like to rent again some day in the future. :) Recommend seeing Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory nearby and the snack bar just down the road."

"This cottage has everything one could possibly want. We took five members of an adult group home and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Fishing, kayaking, rowing the canoe, swimming, fires in the fire pit and of course s'mores. Those who chose not to get in the water were content sitting on the wonderful dock or the shady porch. It is very well kept with all the amenities one would want plus more. The beach is great with easy access for those with physical disabilities. This cottage worked out so well for our group that I rented it a second week for my family. We live close by but have greatly enjoyed the little get away during such a busy time of the year. Thank you so much for offering this lovely cottage for others to share. It's a great spot and only a short drive to Acadia National Park."
