"A lovely old house in a gorgeous location. Beautiful views, nearby beach, short walk to Goose Falls and Holbrook Island Sanctuary. Cape Rosier is a magical place. We have stayed in this location many times. The house is always very clean, well-maintained and most welcoming. Our kids love it here, as do we."

"This lovely house afforded our family a great opportunity to all be together for meals and socializing. There were 17 of us…adults and grown children. During the day family members went off hiking or touring but we would get together for dinners in the huge dinning room. The house is in a very convenient location… minutes from the Park entrance at Seal Harbor and no more than 10 minutes to Jordan Pond House. The back terrace is large and has a million dollar view."

"Four of us had a superb week at Mac and Deb's chalet overlooking Patton Bay. The house is lovely and one of those places in which you find yourself immediately comfortable. There was a fine welcome basket , a folder full of lots of useful local information, and plenty of maps and guides. The house and it's location were just right. Add to this owners who could not have been nicer and more helpful.
We will hope to return!"

"We headed north from Boston after a crazy holiday season and stayed at this lovely farmhouse cottage on Deer Isle. We didn't know what to expect off season, but as we drove over the DI Bridge, and then over the very picturesque causeway that leads to the island, we were already charmed. The farm house exceeded our expectations; well appointed, tasteful and full of country charm. The surrounding pastures and next door conservation lands were beautiful. From the cottage, the winter views of the ocean were spectacular. We cozied up to the wood stove read books and made our favorite meals in the well stocked kitchen. Though the weather was nippy, each day we headed out on a Nature Heritage Trust walk through the woods, or along the ocean front. Beautiful views everywhere. We celebrated New Year Eve at a wonderful restaurant - the Arbor View Inn. This is reported to be one of the best restaurants in the entire state of Maine, and we'd heartily agree. If you want a true Down East experiences this family cottage is the perfect place to spend a week - or maybe two or three?"
