"We stayed here for a week and it was fantastic. The house was very clean and comfortable and had a fantastic view from the front porch. We had everything we needed and the owners were very accommodating. We couldn't get the DVD player to function properly and they had replaced by the next day. Castine is a one of a kind town. Scenic and quiet with just enough to keep you busy. The car traffic is minimal and there is a wonderful 2 mile loop you can walk, jog, or bike on without worrying. The house was within walking distance to the grocery store and other restaurants in the quaint town. We loved it and plan to return next summer."

"Wonderful time in Blue Hill area. Orchard House was a perfect home base especially if you like to take advantage of all the area farmer's markets and off the boat seafood...come back to a wonderful gourmet kitchen to prepare your finds. Tons of room, nice layout, very helpful owners. I would definitely recommend."

"We stayed here the week of July 10 through 17, 2015 and enjoyed every moment. It was such a comfortable space and located right in the middle of all there is do to! We enjoyed the towns of Blue Hill, Castine, Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, and even took a day trip to Camden and Belfast!
The hummingbird feeders kept us entertained for hours! We were very happy with the Internet, satellite tv, gas stove, grill, and all the modern conveniences while feeling secluded and rustic all at the same time.
You won't find a better vacation property in this area.

"My husband and I have stayed in this lovely Maine home several times over the past few years and count it among our favorite vacation destinations. The home is located in the middle of a thriving Down East town with shops, restaurants, galleries and waterfront all visible from the front windows! The owners were very knowledgeable about the local scene and provided many useful recommendations. The home is multilevel with much old New England charm. There is even a small "theater" on the second floor which actually hosted performances by many previous occupants. Highly recommended for anyone who has a love for colonial history and, of course, the waterfront."
