"The house was very well kept and had everything we needed to cook and relax for the week! Our 14 year old son was a little disappointed there wasn't a tv but he enjoyed the wifi and watching netflix after spending our days hiking, kayaking, and checking out Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor. This is an absolutely beautiful area. I squeezed in a few of good runs (the best was at Schoodic Peninsula) and we enjoyed fresh lobster from the co-op. We also drove up to Canada, which was about an hour and a half drive to the Roosevelt Campobello International Park...stunning! We will definitely be back! :)"

"This house is so well located that I can't think of a way to improve it, except perhaps to move it slightly closer to Acadia. We loved coming home to our comfy home every night and finding everything so comfortable and inviting. Everything was perfect for our time there and we can't think of a thing we'd do differently."

"I rented this farmhouse to stay in while my husband and boys camped at Seawall with their Boyscout troop. First, the location in Southwest Harbor was great. I was minutes away from the campsite, within a mile of a grocery store, within walking distance of plenty of charming shops and restaurants. And, everything in Acadia is within easy driving distance, so the location if visiting the park is great. The farmhouse was amazing. It was exceptionally clean, the bathroom with a washer/dryer set up was the size of most bedrooms, the bedroom was big enough to walk around and had a desk to work at with free wi-fi, the living and kitchen area were also very big. Although I did not use the kitchen area, it seemed to have everything anyone would need to fix meals. The owner was readily available by email when I needed to let her know of an arrival and departure change. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. And, if I ever get back to this area of Maine, I would definitly try to book this rental."

"The pictures of the interior of the Boat House were very accurate. The remodel of the home was tastefully done and up to date. The views of the harbor from the living room were spectacular. We stayed at the end of the season and it was a bit chilly. The heating system was a bit of an issue as the pipes banged at night which interrupted our sleep. We also new it was a working harbor but if you were a light sleeper the fishermen and boats would wake you up early in the morning. We are early risers so that was not an issue. The owners should also let guests know that there is a room attached to the house that harbor/marina folks use. That did startle us when we first heard people in the room. Some other improvements would be to update the linens and towels, connect tv to cable in the bed room , a vacuum cleaner, and to leave instructions on how to use the VCR.
Aside from the few things we mentioned it was a nice place to stay."
