Beautiful + historic farm house worth checking out
"I honestly couldn't have been happier with my recent visit. My mom and brother joined me and we all
were taken back by the peaceful environs. We travelled up to Acadia a few times(which is about 30 minutes away) but I enjoyed hanging out at the farm and especially cooking with my family. The photos really don’t do it justice - the farm is spacious, very well decorated and surrounded by beauty. Phillip and Lee were also easy to communicate with.

"We had an excellent vacation! This house is in a quiet location with everything you need. Just a short drive to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. There is plenty of room in this house for kids and adults to coexist. Our teenagers loved having the space in the basement level to play pool and watch TV. The hot tub was a plus after a long day of activities. The owners were very accommodating and great to work with.
I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation."

"The web description doesn’t do justice to Grey Rocks! It is a well maintained 1890s mansion with all modern conveniences, in a gorgeous setting, with beautiful flowers in the yard and on the deck. It’s very private, at the end of a long gravel drive, woods on three sides and the rocky beach on the other. The back lawn is great for romping dogs and playing kids, and the full-length back deck is wonderful for picnics and hanging out and looking at the ocean, where you see (and hear) lobster boats going by. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans, the dishwasher and laundry machines work well, and while there are only two showers in the four bathrooms, everything worked. We (ten people, two dogs) loved the house and the location** which made for an idyllic vacation.
** Five minutes walk to Thurston’s Lobster Pound – no parking hassle!"

"The house location was close to Acadia Ntl. Park and downtown Bar Harbor. It is on a quiet street. It is a little small and outdated with electrical, bath and kitchen, but it worked out great for our family of five (three boys). The laundry was really nice to have. The owners were great to work with and they were very helpful with ideas for how to get around on our bikes bypassing busy roads. The internet worked very well. They had lots of basics for us in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry. There is a little front yard our boys played in and there is a large grassy area at a school yard very close by. We walked to Bar Harbor several times without it being too far for us and our children (ages 8, 11 and 14)."
