Lovely Home - Beautiful Sunsets
"My friends and I spent a week at Woodberry Cottage, and had a wonderful, relaxing time in a beautiful setting with all the amenities of home. The cottage was clean & well maintained, and the owners provided brochures & maps for area activities.
During our stay we visited Acadia National Park, Nervous Nellie's Jams & Jellies, local galleries & shops. We spent a lovely day on Eagle Island, a night stargazing at Pine Hill, and dined at several area restaurants to include Barncastle in Blue Hill & McKay's in Bar Harbor. Of course, the cottage was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy a home cooked meal, and then watch a favorite movie or play a friendly game of cards or Mahjong afterwards. The screened in porch was a great place to chat & still enjoy the outdoors; and going down to the shore and watching the sun set was spectacular.
I would highly recommend Woodberry Cottage to anyone looking for an enjoyable, worry free vacation."

"My wife and I stayed here with our family and friends (us + 2 other couples) for the last two summers. We spent our days hiking or canoeing and returned most nights to eat dinner together in the dining room with a large picture window overlooking the water. It's a gorgeous property and they just added a new bedroom and bathroom, so it had plenty of space for our group. We look forward to returning to this house on Deer Isle for many summers to come."

"We headed north from Boston after a crazy holiday season and stayed at this lovely farmhouse cottage on Deer Isle. We didn't know what to expect off season, but as we drove over the DI Bridge, and then over the very picturesque causeway that leads to the island, we were already charmed. The farm house exceeded our expectations; well appointed, tasteful and full of country charm. The surrounding pastures and next door conservation lands were beautiful. From the cottage, the winter views of the ocean were spectacular. We cozied up to the wood stove read books and made our favorite meals in the well stocked kitchen. Though the weather was nippy, each day we headed out on a Nature Heritage Trust walk through the woods, or along the ocean front. Beautiful views everywhere. We celebrated New Year Eve at a wonderful restaurant - the Arbor View Inn. This is reported to be one of the best restaurants in the entire state of Maine, and we'd heartily agree. If you want a true Down East experiences this family cottage is the perfect place to spend a week - or maybe two or three?"

"Totally perfect! A week wasn't long enough in this homey house overlooking the working Stonington Harbor! Loved the house, view and town. Weather was beautiful, allowing lots of time on deck watching all the lobster and fishing boat activity from our perch over the harbor. A genuine working harbor, only saw one sailboat and no yachts. The house had everything we needed, including the antique dough board, which I used to make dough for fried apple pies! Watching the huge tides change the view. Days of walking exploration of the town's hills and harbor, painting from the deck, kayaking, or just soaking up the view.
One day trip to Acadia National Park, beautiful! and another to Moosehead Lake. We saw 3 moose! A boat ride to Isle de Haut to deliver the mail and on to Seal Island to see our first puffins. Nervous Nellies Jams & Jellies is a "don't miss it" curious art stop. Checked out Belfast and Camden Harbors on our way home.
The house was clean, open, comfy and beautiful with morning sunlight streaming in the front windows.
All week we were planning our return to this exceptional house and town."
