"We booked a week in early Sept. 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and quiet, isolated property overlooking Union River Bay and the mountains of Acadia NP. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and private. Lots of guides, books and maps to nearby attractions and activities in the cottage. The large sketch book and crayons were a bonus. Great location between Blue Hill peninsula and Acadia. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, including a lobster pot, for meals. Only wished we could have spent more time there. An ideal place to get away from the grid, crowds and to unwind."Guest: David Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 23, 2014View listing
"I have been coming to Keyhole Cottage for many years; the last time three years ago with my wife, who died less than a year later. This was the first year I've been back since then. Keyhole Cottage is a place to take time to breathe; to sit and listen and watch without the interruption of television; though there is wifi and so you can always check the news if you really want to. Since you are in the midst of Acadia National Park you are close to all the attractions that that wonderful place has to offer: hiking, bicycling etc. You can see the sunrise from Cadillac Mt, or you can walk a hundred yards to your own beach and to do the same. The accomodations are more than adequate and the cottage has a nice deck with the keyhole view of the water.A great place to be."Guest: Jack Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 20, 2014View listing
"Four of us had a superb week at Mac and Deb's chalet overlooking Patton Bay. The house is lovely and one of those places in which you find yourself immediately comfortable. There was a fine welcome basket , a folder full of lots of useful local information, and plenty of maps and guides. The house and it's location were just right. Add to this owners who could not have been nicer and more helpful. We will hope to return!"Guest: Paul D. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 1, 2014View listing
"The Stonington Guest Cottage exceeded our expectaions. The space is delightful as were our hosts, Doug and Leslie. We found the cottage immaculate, spacious with fine amenities including fresh flowers picked from the lovely garden waiting for us as we arrived. Our week was a perfect mixture of relaxation, exploring the town and Deer Isle. We we took part in the local culture attending a dance at the Stonington Opera House and enjoying a string quartet and a quaint church. We hope that other guests will find the harbor view from the screened in porch and deck as romantic and peaceful as we did. Leslie gave us great restaurant tips and we found the restaurants very reasonable in price with delicious food. A perfect slice of heaven without the large numbers of tourists. Thank you Doug and Lesle for sharing your special cottage with us."Guest: Pam and Randy Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
