"My wife and I spent a week with two other couples. The house is spacious with plenty of privacy, with common areas nice and open. The new bathroom gives everyone access to their own (except for showering.) Plenty of deck space and lawn in the back, and access to the bay is great.
We biked, hiked, and kayak during our stay, and the house is close enough to Bar Harbor and NP, but far enough away to be away from the tourist hustle and bustle. While kayaking from the house we saw seals, a heron, an eagle, and an osprey (while catching fish!)
The house has a well-stocked kitchen, and is spotless. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer."

"The house is nicer than in the pictures, for sure. It's very spacious and comfortable, and has most everything you need. We were a group of five adults, and never felt crowded. I agree with the other reviewer, it's a good balance of rustic character and modern conveniences. The screened in porch is an excellent place to read a book or do a jigsaw puzzle. The lake is beautiful and extremely quiet (it seemed like the other sections of the lake were more populated). We loved hanging out on the dock and swimming out to the swim float. There are a few things that would make it more perfect - a new set of knives and silverware, and a ladder at the end of the dock (there are a lot of rocks, so a bit tricky to get in the water). Yes, it's a bit of a drive down the road to the house, but it's not at all bumpy, so they have done a good job at grading it – no problem at all. It's quite convenient to Blue Hill and other locations - we zipped to the Blue Hill food coop a few times, had lobster rolls at Bagaduce Lunch, and went to the amazing pizza night at Tinder Hearth Bakery. We have rented many lake houses in the area, and this ranks among the best."

"This "camp" is in a private location right on the water. Loons calling, lake views, stars @ night. The deck is perfect spot for enjoying your lobster. The location was a great base for our explores to Schoodic peninsula, Acadia National park & quaint historic villages of Stonington & Castine. Coastal Maine is so scenic with my camera logging 250 pics! The camp is somewhat dated in its furnishings, but we found queen bed very comfortable and the cabin kitchen is well stocked for your needs. Lots of character in this place. We found owner very polite and thorough in settling us in for our stay. We want to come back for "leaf peeping" as they call it in Maine!!"

"We rented for 2 weeks. The property is clean and well stocked. Our dogs could wander without bothering anyone. Betsy was easy to reach if we needed anything. The view is awsome and there is water access for kayaks should you choose to bring them. The property is close to Bar Harbor while just a few miles from Ellsworth. When the sun shines and it is hot outside, the upstairs and porch get very warm. Window blinds would be great. I would definitely rent this again."
