  • Felt Like at Home

"My first experience of renting a family owned suite turned out fantastic. We really liked the place. It's a clean and well decorated suite. Everything is provided, much better than staying in a hotel. Donna is a very friendly lady. We definitely will rent it again if we revisit the national park."

  • Peace and quiet!

"We have been to Bar Harbor many times and wanted something different than your average hotel/motel. This cottage is terrific! We were there out-of-season, but had the best weather you could ask for. Every morning the ducks came to visit us as we sat on the porch drinking our coffee. We used the canoe and other boat daily to troll along the lake and see what's going on. The fire pit was used nightly and enjoyed very much! If you're looking for a nice cabin away from it all with very nice people that are very friendly and easy to rent from, then this is the place for you! We enjoyed every minute and look forward to coming back again!!"

  • Winter Harbor Get a Way

"Clean, well supplied, though not what we would call a cottage. Furnishings are a bit formal. Not a place for the young folk to run wild. Bathroom small, but the washer and dryer were great. Though we were not expecting a grill, we were happy to find a small Weber which we used 2 nights! We would recommend additional outdoor seating(currently 2 chairs), though the mosquitos will drive you in. Location relative to Winter Harbor, Schoodic Pennisula and Grindstone Neck was perfect! We biked and kayaked and ate a very affordable yummy meal at the Pickled Wrinkle. Bought lobsters at Corea Lobsterman's Coop...right off the boat! Looking for Maine not over run with tourists? Head to Winter Harbor."

  • Great place, great location

"We spent a week here in early September. Beginning with the warm welcome , everything was perfect. the view from the deck changes all day long with the tides, gulls and loons serenaded our stay. the cottage is cozy and comfortable and just a short (20minute0 drive to Acadia national park and another ten minutes to Bar Harbor. the hosts are charming and discrete and made sure the wifi worked well as that was important for us. Lamoine is a quaint, quiet little town with a beautiful, wild stony beach and a goat farm that sells fresh cheese. The cottage is off the main road and quiet. all you hear are the waves. the kitchen is well appointed for those, like us, who like to do their own cooking and there is plenty of info for those who want to go out to eat. Having vacationed many times in Down East and Acadia, this was the best rental yet. We didn't get around to kayaking, but for those who like that, this is the perfect venue with easy access to the water."
