Winter Harbor Get a Way
"Clean, well supplied, though not what we would call a cottage. Furnishings are a bit formal. Not a place for the young folk to run wild. Bathroom small, but the washer and dryer were great. Though we were not expecting a grill, we were happy to find a small Weber which we used 2 nights! We would recommend additional outdoor seating(currently 2 chairs), though the mosquitos will drive you in. Location relative to Winter Harbor, Schoodic Pennisula and Grindstone Neck was perfect! We biked and kayaked and ate a very affordable yummy meal at the Pickled Wrinkle. Bought lobsters at Corea Lobsterman's Coop...right off the boat! Looking for Maine not over run with tourists? Head to Winter Harbor."

"The difference between a good vacation and an outstanding vacation is always related to the provider. Anyone can offer a cabin by the water. But a helpful, kind and knowledgeable owner will transform that cabin into the experience of a lifetime. This is exactly why we are giving Scott and his A-frame cabin a 5-star rating. The cabin by itself is spectacular.....a charming, well-cared-for cabin located on a picturesque knoll overlooking the water. But Scott's 30-years of experience on the coast of Maine makes this rental better than any other. Scott will show you where to find the best food, the best hiking, the places for sightseeing, the best shopping, the best outdoor adventure....all of those things that are known only to long-term locals. And for us, Scott's knowledge and guidance, plus the quiet relaxation of nice cabin in a wonderful location, turned our vacation into a little slice of heaven in Maine."

"I just returned from a lovely week with girlfriends and I can't wait until I can go back again. My husband and I have stayed here twice before, but the owners have recently done some major upgrades. They doubled the downstairs living space, added a new heater, new kitchen appliances, a fully equipped kitchen and much more. I have been to a lot of places in the world, but I can honestly say it is my favorite. I slept like a rock there! The location couldn't be better--right on the water with lots of trees to give you total privacy. It is fun to watch the lobster boats check their nets You can't help but relax, however, there is plenty to do and see if you choose. Thank you to the owners for sharing this lovely place with us!!"

"Beach surf provided us a lovely spot for our fall getaway. From the first morning light to the spectacular sunsets, the views were breath-taking. Almost every room on the harbor side provides wall to wall windows. We spent many days watching the lobster boats head out at dawn, the seals bob up and down right out in front of the house, and sitting on the deck at sunset with a glass of wine or two. (We also saw dolphins and a bald eagle!) Other days we headed to Cadillac Mountain or Schoodic Head for hikes and sunrise photos; I wish we could share those. So beautiful. We also bought lobster in Winter Harbor and lunched at the Wrinkled Pickle. So many memories. We would definitely recommend Beach Surf."
