  • What a charming slice of heaven!

"Our family had the pleasure of renting these cottages last fall. They were clean, neat and fully equipped with everything you need and much more. The cottages are situated in a lovely town where the locals don't seem to mind sharing all the beauty Stonnington has to offer. The owners of the cottages are extremely friendly and are dedicated to making your vacation experience one of the most memorable!"

  • Real Maine

"My wife, and our friends stayed at the cottage for a week and loved it! We have stay at a lot of places through VRBO and this is the best place by far. We have been to Maine twice now and we learned from the first trip to find a place centrally located, but closest to the place you like the most. It is very close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Bangor. The lake and lake views were incredible. Everything you would ever need is at the cottage: Lobster pot (we steamed our first lobsters), BBQ Grill, kayaks, canoe, row boat, Big Screen Hi-def tv, every appliance is state of the art. You honestly never want to leave. The cottage was spotless when we got there, you think you are walking into a model home. The owners own The Drydock Inn and Cafe and the food and service was great! Its worth the trip and Southwest Harbor is a neat little town away from the tourist trendy Bar Harbor. We will be back but probably stay for 2 weeks."

  • Charmer in Blue Hill

"Our family of five rented this house along with another family. Our group consisted of four adults and six children ranging in age from 7 to 15. This house served as our base of operations for our 2013 summer vacation in Maine. The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate all of us. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, with plenty of linens. The house also had a dining room table that allowed all of us to sit together for meals. There was a large side yard for the children to play in and also a closet full of board games to keep them occupied. The porch was a favorite place to sip on a beverage while enjoying the breeze off the bay. Blue Hill was a great place to vacation. We were not too far from hiking in Acadia and Blue Hill, shopping in Bar Harbor, and exploring all of the little towns, coves, and hidden treasures the area has to offer. The owner was fantastic. She was very friendly and helpful. She gave us local hints regarding shopping and dining, she provided tips regarding hiking in Blue Hill and Acadia, and she even helped us find the best place to get local lobster."

  • Lovely Stay at Wesley House

"We had a wonderful stay at Wesley House (July 25-31, 2010). The photos do not do the house justice. We were charmed as soon as we walked in the door and found it to be perfectly suited for our group, which included grandparents, parents and two kids under 5. This was our first experience with vrbo, and it couldn't have been better. The instructions and advice left for us were very helpful, and the owners were readily available to answer any questions. We ended up following a number of the owners' recommendations, including a sailing trip on a Friendship Sloop, dinner at Abels lobster pound and local walks, all of which were great. Everything was well-maintained, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the extras (toys, books, stroller) were great. Our kids loved the rope swing out front, and the location was perfect for us - we didn't have to drive to the little shops, cafes, ice cream and playground - they were all just a short walk away. We loved the feel of Southwest Harbor and were very happy we ended up staying there. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative."
