  • A Perfect Slice of Heaven

"The Stonington Guest Cottage exceeded our expectaions. The space is delightful as were our hosts, Doug and Leslie. We found the cottage immaculate, spacious with fine amenities including fresh flowers picked from the lovely garden waiting for us as we arrived. Our week was a perfect mixture of relaxation, exploring the town and Deer Isle. We we took part in the local culture attending a dance at the Stonington Opera House and enjoying a string quartet and a quaint church. We hope that other guests will find the harbor view from the screened in porch and deck as romantic and peaceful as we did. Leslie gave us great restaurant tips and we found the restaurants very reasonable in price with delicious food. A perfect slice of heaven without the large numbers of tourists. Thank you Doug and Lesle for sharing your special cottage with us."

  • Our Winter Retreat

"We have enjoyed Paul's cottage for our last seven February vacations. Mt Desert Island in the winter is fantastic! A day cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in Acadia is scenic and beautifully quiet. Returning to the cottage each afternoon and enjoying the fireplace, warm beverages, water views, sunsets and seabirds visible right outside the cottage window is heavenly. Sleeping in the loft bedroom, watching the moon, stars and lighthouse beacons is as romantic as it gets. Paul's cottage has everything you need, Kathy is extremely helpful, and we will keep returning to this amazing location. The pictures show it all except the tranquility of winter. We do recommend Paul's cottage to our friends but only if they promise not to compete for our week!"

  • Perfect little cottage!

"My husband and I were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and booked the delightful "Safe Harbor" cottage. We couldn't have been more pleased. It's beautifully decorated, very clean and nicely appointed, and the view of picturesque Southwest Harbor is wonderful. We spent a lot of time in those adirondack chairs in the pictures just watching the comings and goings of the lobster boats and sailboats…it never got old! The location is also very convenient to the shops and restaurants of the village of Southwest Harbor. It is very close to the road, but since this is "The Quiet Side" of Mt. Desert, it was never a problem for us. Christie, the owner was very nice and accommodating…the internet wasn't working when we got there so we called her. She had it fixed the next morning. We would love to go back again soon!"

  • Splendid Newbury Neck, Maine

"We booked a week in early Sept. 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and quiet, isolated property overlooking Union River Bay and the mountains of Acadia NP. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and private. Lots of guides, books and maps to nearby attractions and activities in the cottage. The large sketch book and crayons were a bonus. Great location between Blue Hill peninsula and Acadia. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, including a lobster pot, for meals. Only wished we could have spent more time there. An ideal place to get away from the grid, crowds and to unwind."
