"Acadia has always been one of my favorite places, so it was a treat to bring my family for their first visit. Northeast Harbor has just the right balance of quietness, quaintness, friendliness, and ease of living after spending days exploring and hiking. The park and the other side of the island were both easily accessible. Town is just a couple of blocks away with everything you need, including a couple of places with great food and baked goods. The larger grocery store in Bar Harbor is only 15 minutes away. This brightly colored, comfortable and well-equipped cottage was the perfect place to call home. We loved the timber framing, the large kitchen, the spacious rooms, and especially the covered porch & outdoor eating area where we could linger over breakfast and morning coffee. The owners, who were onsite, were extremely hospitable and helpful with anything we needed, including recommendations for places a little off the beaten path. Many thanks to the owners for making our visit to Acadia such a special one with their hospitality and friendship. We hope to be back for a longer visit next time!"

"We stayed at Acadia Meadow for 4 nights and it was a great fit for us.
Suze and Tod were very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated and enjoyed the items from their garden.
Acadia Meadow is very clean and a great place to relax and be able to cook meals. As mentioned by others they have thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay.
It is close to Acadia National Park and far enough away from the busyness of Bar Harbor.
We would highly recommend Acadia Meadow for a quiet, relaxing place to stay with great hosts."

"Beautifully finished, well-equipped, sunny and comfortable guest house overlooking landscaped garden and Stonington Harbor. Easy walk into Stonington, a charming working port with shops, restaurants and attractions. The owners, Doug and Leslie, who live in the main house on the property, were friendly and accommodating while respecting tenants' privacy. Perfect jumping off point for exploring Deer Isle and nearby islands and communities (Isle au Haut ferry is an easy walk from house).
Bedroom and bathroom are commodious but up a fairly narrow flight of stairs, which those with mobility issues or infants may want to keep in mind.
All in all, an idyllic spot at a reasonable price."

"Cannot say enough about the wonderful time we had in Maine. Before our arrival, Bob answered all of our questions about the area and gave us lots of ideas of things to do. We highly recommend Blunt's pond (just a couple of miles from the cottage) for swimming since the water in front of the house was too cold to enjoy. We arrived to fresh blueberry scones and a gorgeous view. We rented a canoe for our family of 6 because the kayak rental prices were a bit steep. Bob gave us excellent advice on when to enjoy the canoe the most, mornings and evenings. We spent so much time exploring the ever-changing beach in front of the cottage finding snails, fish, crabs, mussels, and a sea star. We were even lucky enough to see a seal up close two evenings when we canoed out to Googin's ledge. We spent most of our daytime hiking in Acadia with our 4 children varying in ages from 1 to 13. The Ocean Path was perfect for our family because we could push the baby stroller up on the path while the older children climbed on the rocks down below. The path around Jordan's Pond was another of our favorites. You can enjoy an easy 3 mile path or choose to hike up to Bubble Rock half way around. Another highlight of our stay was enjoying a LuLu Lobster tour at low tide. We saw lots of seals and Captain John did an excellent job of sharing his knowledge of lobstering.
We enjoyed dinner on the deck most evenings and our last evening Barb brought us a cup of fresh picked blueberries from their back yard. Delicious!
The days were warm and the evenings cool. We slept with the windows open and awoke to the sight of lobster boats heading out to check their traps in the morning. Truly an unforgettable experience!"
