"This cottage has everything one could possibly want. We took five members of an adult group home and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Fishing, kayaking, rowing the canoe, swimming, fires in the fire pit and of course s'mores. Those who chose not to get in the water were content sitting on the wonderful dock or the shady porch. It is very well kept with all the amenities one would want plus more. The beach is great with easy access for those with physical disabilities. This cottage worked out so well for our group that I rented it a second week for my family. We live close by but have greatly enjoyed the little get away during such a busy time of the year. Thank you so much for offering this lovely cottage for others to share. It's a great spot and only a short drive to Acadia National Park."

"A New England lake with loons is what we wanted and Loon Cottage was located just off the main road to Acadia at the north end of Toddy Pond. The cottage comfortably provided our needs during four nights and Toddy Pond was a perfect setting for sunsets and morning kayaking. The fall color was post card brilliant and though it was late in the season we both saw and heard loons. When we chose to leave the lake, the location provided convenient access to Acadia and surrounding attractions. Highlights were the sunrise from atop Cadillac Mountain, a boat from Northeast Harbor to Little Cranberry Island, lunch at Jordon Pond House, climbing the rocks around Thunder Hole, and selfies in front of Stephen King's house in nearby Bangor on the one gray day. We were well fortified with the freshest seafood every day washed down with plenty of local craft beer, for variety, the Cellar in Ellsworth was an unexpected foodie delight and Pat's Pizza was worth all it's hype. Our hosts were wonderfully responsive and I only wish we could have met them in person. I recommend Loon Cottage for anyone wishing to experience dramatic beauty of coastal Maine and the tranquility of quaint Down East. Cheers!"

"This cozy cabin is convenient to both Acadia National Park and Southwest Harbor. The cabin oozes with charm and features a beautiful wooded location on a secluded cove. The owners are non-intrusive but very friendly and helpful. We were 100% satisfied. A great find!"

"This small suite is perfect for one or two people. The king bed allows for a wonderful night of rest and the fully updated, equipped kitchen is perfect for making meals at 'home.' There is a nice little deck off of the bedroom, allowing for a little place to sit and relax. The suite is extremely clean with no details missed. Additionally, the location is perfect for exploring any part of the island."
