"We found this house to be very comfortable. It is extremely close to the main street in Northeast Harbor, where there is a grocery, bakery, cafe, and plenty of shops to explore. The bus to Acadia and Bar Harbor runs right past the house. The house itself is bright and airy with high ceilings. It has a lovely deck and we ate outside several times. The beds were extremely comfortable with high quality linens. The layout is a little interesting, with one bedroom upstairs and the others downstairs, which allowed for a private hideaway. The kitchen, though smallish in terms of work surfaces, was well equipped with decent knives and ample glassware, dishes and pots/pans. The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned (the kids got a kick out of the separate hot/cold water faucets)."

"The chalet was the perfect Bar Harbor location for our first family vacation, including our dog! For us the location was perfect, close enough to major attractions like Acadia National Park and Downtown Bar Harbor, but secluded enough for relaxation. The house itself was immaculately clean, and had all the amenities one could need for the week (towels, dishes, hairdryer, etc.). The owners were really helpful and available when needed; they even left a binder full of dog-friendly restaurants and activities. We loved sitting out on the porch in the evenings and walking down to the water at low tide to explore. My only (minor) issue would be that there is no light above the shower in the bathroom, but this didn't bother us too much. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Chalet, and can't wait to come back!"

"This cottage was the perfect place to unwind. Everything we could want was there for us: beautiful sunsets, quiet, high and low tides, wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen. Add to that easy access to Blue Hill and Acadia National Park. We loved every moment."

"Spent a week here with my family of two adults and two teens. Everyone loved it from the minute we saw it. The house is adorable, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The windows facing the water provide incredible views whether it's sunny, rainy, cloudy and/or foggy. My kids were worried b/c there's no ac, but (as we told them), there was no need for it with the ocean breezes. Between the cool breezes, sound of the ocean, and the pure darkness, we had the best sleep in a long time! The location is secluded (there are neighbors but we didn't see or hear them) but close enough to Schoodic (10 min) and Mount Desert for day trips. If you go, definitely have breakfast at JM Gerrish -- that was our favorite nearby restaurant. Also, the Tuesday farmers market was a lot of fun. The owners provided great recommendations in their guide book. We would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to take in the magic of Maine!"
