Perfect week at perfect Acadia location!
"My sister's family and ours stayed at Windiana for the week and could not have had a nicer time. The weather was perfect - warm sunny days and cool starry nights. Hiking, kayaking, and eating at the wonderful nearby restaurants made for a memorable week. Loons, eagles, and jumping fish everywhere. The owner made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with great ideas for things to do and places to go. I would go back in a minute!"

"We loved this place! We rented both cabins for our family - my parents and brother stayed in east cabin, we were in the west - five of use were very comfortable! The view was amazing from our decks - having access to the water was wonderful!! Our own private view of the amazing tidal changes and the lobster boats at work. The cabins were clean, well-appointed, and they even had charcoal for the grill. The beds were so comfy!!The bathrooms are a bit small, so it was perfect that we had outside showers at each cabin!! No cable, but the wifi worked very well! Not far from downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia, etc.... We WILL be back!!!"

"We had an AMAZING week here.
Our large and multi-generational family of seven stayed at this house in July. We had a fantastic visit and we plan to come back next year. We hiked several mountains, ate in nearby restaurants, swam in a nearby pond, and walked to the water and rocks from the house.
Everyday had a new and fun activity.
The spaciousness of the 3-level house was perfect for the three generations of our family. People could work, rest, or watch TV downstairs and not hear any noise from the activities of the other family members. The several large bedrooms also let us spread out and have privacy when needed.
The entire house is beautiful, with light wood and while walls. The property is expansive, with a garden, yard, and path to the water. My 3 year old picked blueberries from the many bushes planted there. Paths through the Blagden Preserve provided an easy walk to the water, and our child loved looking for shellfish at the beach during low tide. Next time we will bring binoculars so that we can see the seals on the rocks at the Preserve.
We enjoyed hiking, playing golf at the nearby public courses, and watching the boats come into the harbor. We didn't have time to kayak or ride bikes, but hope to on our next visit. The roads around the house have few cars, and would be ideal for biking, and the Acadia Carriage roads are also nearby. We want to take the kayak out next time, as you can launch it just down the street from the house.
We HIGHLY recommend this house. The house itself and its surroundings are wonderful. There are many great dining opportunities on the island, in nearby town hill, bar harbor, and southwest. But every night, we rushed home to watch an amazing sunset over the water."

"Well appointed home with lots of amenities. Wish I'd brought my binoculars as that was the only thing, besides a boat which I could have rented nearby, that wasn't available in the house. The dock, the sound, the habitat, the view, the porches, the woodstove, kayaks, etc. all well designed for my family's week on MDI next to Acadia. Should have done 2 weeks!"
