"My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage. The location is perfect -- a short walk from all that Bar harbor and Acadia have to offer but away from the crowds and noise. We stayed for 3 weeks so we definitely used the kitchen and it was very well equipped and comfortable for cooking and eating. The cottage was very clean and the owners were delightful to deal with and very helpful with suggestions for our stay. The garden was just lovely and the neighbors were friendly and helpful as well. We would definitely stay there again."Guest: Susan S. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 17, 2014View listing
"Great house, location and a wonderful time by the family!!! We come to Bar Harbor every year and this was the first stay at this house.. the photos don't do it justice as the Master and Upstairs bedrooms are huge!!! Well stocked kitchen, with everything we needed for our stay.. very quiet neighborhood with no traffic.. Location, location, location.. we walked to town and the owner wasn't kidding when she said right around the corner from the park entrances... our family had a great time.. make sure you bike the carriage roads and eat the terrific popovers at Jordan Pond...."Guest: Paula Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: February 19, 2014View listing
"We had a great time at this house. It was far enough away from downtown and the touristy areas to be peaceful and relaxing but close enough to get there and park without any issues. We were close enough to park entrances to get there every day without any trouble. We had a one year old with us and the yard, pond in the back and driveway offered tons of opportunity for exploration. I'll go back with older kids because the space in the back was expansive enough for a pick-up game of kickball or tag. The home was beautiful and offered plenty of space for our group to eat together, share stories in the living room and cook some of our own meals. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend it to others. The owners and managers were extremely responsive to our inquiries and were fantastic to work with. Excellent stay! Cannot wait to get back there!"Guest: TravelBonanza Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: September 29, 2013View listing

Thank you so much!"Guest: Maine Lover Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
Bar Harbor Travel Tips
Get Away to One of the Gems of New England: Bar Harbor Vacation Rentals
In travel guides and books about vacation spots in North America, Bar Harbor is regularly touted as one of the best places to visit and vacation. For this reason, there are many Bar Harbor vacation rentals for people who are interested in Bar Harbor travel.
Bar Harbor travel includes experiences along a rocky coast line and view of magnificent granite cliffs. Bar Harbor is located on the east side of Mount Desert Island. One of the best things about Mount Desert Island lodging and Bar Harbor vacation rentals is that they give vacationers access to Acadia National Park.
Bar Harbor Travel: Live Like Royalty Without Spending Like Royalty
One of the best things about Bar Harbor vacation rentals is how affordable many of them are. In fact. It is quite common for vacationers to get a better deal on Bar Harbor vacation rentals than on other sorts of Mount Desert Island lodging such as hotels.
Here are a few things to consider. When staying in a hotel, you are not able to cook your own meals. In order to have access to even a kitchenette, you'll have to pay extra. And even kitchenettes are not usually sufficient to cook full meals. In Mount Desert Island lodging options such as vacation rentals, fully equipped kitchens are standard. This means that renters don't have to spend an arm and a leg paying for every meal in restaurants.
Also, laundry service in hotels is usually incredibly expensive. For those who plan to hike, bike, boat, and swim, laundry might be necessary. Doing a load of laundry in a vacation rental is as easy as 1-2-3 and won't cost you a thing as the laundry facilities are a standard part of most vacation rentals.
