"We stayed at Ebb Tide this fall for a month and it wasn't long enough! The house is close to Acadia National Park with its natural beauty and activities.. It overlooks Bass Harbor with its 10 foot tides, yet it is secluded with tall pines, flowers, and rose bushes. The views form the privacy of our living room or outside Adirondack chairs was spectacular, especially at sunset. Our miniature poodle was well accepted by Rudy, the host dog. Shelley and Larry could not have been more thoughtful. Fresh flowers were in the house when we arrived and weekly thereafter.
The kitchen is well equipped, the furniture is very comfortable and stylish. The house is open and airy with natural light. The second floor master bedroom has beautiful views of the harbor. The walkway from the parking area has a few stone steps downhill.
Overall, we couldn't have picked a better spot, better weather, or better hosts than we experienced at Ebb Tide. We look forward to returning someday."

"Every member of our family of 5 (mom, dad and kids ages 11, 11, and 14) adored this house. It is beautifully situated and decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner is delightful. We loved the view and the walk to Thurstons. It is easy to get to the market in Southwest Harbor. It is a reasonable (but not short) drive to all of the activities in Acadia. It was spotless, roomy and comfortable."

"Breathtaking even with 7 feet of snow... incredible skiing in acadia national park... This owner had the home spotless, and is the best we have ever seen on the coast in maine.. activities everywhere if you are an outdoor person... Restaurants down the way you can walk to.
This is better than the photos and the description, it is really underpriced - we have stayed at alot worse and paid more...Linens were great, soaps provided even down to the laundry soap... ( no one else does that on this island- we know we come every year).. We are making this home our new found stop. The owners went above and beyond."

"My husband, daughter and future son-in-law had a fantastic 1st trip to MDI and staying at the chalet made it a perfect vacation. We spent a week and enjoyed all the different activities in the area and the park loop road. In the morning we enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking coffee and planning our day. At night we relaxed after our busy day with a cocktail, cards and lounging around. Comfy couch and two easy chairs worked out great. Nice open area with large table for eating and nice kitchen with all the appliances that you would want or need. Loved the bedrooms upstairs, especially ours which looked out at the water! Very private, clean and comfortable! With lots of windows to make it nice and bright! Can't wait to go back."
