"We found this house to be very comfortable. It is extremely close to the main street in Northeast Harbor, where there is a grocery, bakery, cafe, and plenty of shops to explore. The bus to Acadia and Bar Harbor runs right past the house. The house itself is bright and airy with high ceilings. It has a lovely deck and we ate outside several times. The beds were extremely comfortable with high quality linens. The layout is a little interesting, with one bedroom upstairs and the others downstairs, which allowed for a private hideaway. The kitchen, though smallish in terms of work surfaces, was well equipped with decent knives and ample glassware, dishes and pots/pans. The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned (the kids got a kick out of the separate hot/cold water faucets)."

"I rented this farmhouse to stay in while my husband and boys camped at Seawall with their Boyscout troop. First, the location in Southwest Harbor was great. I was minutes away from the campsite, within a mile of a grocery store, within walking distance of plenty of charming shops and restaurants. And, everything in Acadia is within easy driving distance, so the location if visiting the park is great. The farmhouse was amazing. It was exceptionally clean, the bathroom with a washer/dryer set up was the size of most bedrooms, the bedroom was big enough to walk around and had a desk to work at with free wi-fi, the living and kitchen area were also very big. Although I did not use the kitchen area, it seemed to have everything anyone would need to fix meals. The owner was readily available by email when I needed to let her know of an arrival and departure change. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. And, if I ever get back to this area of Maine, I would definitly try to book this rental."

"My husband and I, and 2 other couples just spent a week at this beautiful home and loved every minute. It is perfect because each couple has their own bdrm. and bath and the common areas are spacious and cosy. We were greeted with a gorgeous bouquet of lupine on the kitchen counter. The construction details of this home are amazing and agreeing with other reviews, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped(we only fixed breakfast), and the views will refresh your soul. We highly recommend "Il Bassino"!"

Perfect location to enjoy all that Bar Harbor has to offer.
"We stayed with 3 other couples over the last week in May. We are all avid cyclists and spent much of our time riding through Acadia and the surrounding area so this home was a great place to come back to at the end of a long day. This house is very nicely appointed with everything you could need while you are enjoying everything that Bar Harbor has to offer. Just a brief walk to town but off the beaten path so you can feel out of the hustle and bustle if you want. The patio in the back is perfect for afternoon happy hour."
