Great value, very very clean, and private....Id love to stay here all year!
"I have stayed in many places in the 25 years that i have been visiting the Acadia region but nothing gives me greater joy than staying at the Corson Cottage. It is lovely, clean and highly efficient. It is located on the quiet side of the island and I love that as it lends itself to privacy, serenity, exploration, and gorgeous views. The downstairs is is bright, open, spacious for two people and I love the indoor fully functional bathroom, also very clean. Upstairs is accessed by a black wrought iron spiral staircase where 2 twin beds make for an inviting place for friends to join us. Parking is easy on the semi circular driveway and last minute groceries can be easily access by the grocery store which is walking distance from the property. If its very early in the season or late (I've been there for both) a small heater in the living room takes that Maine chill out of the air and reminds us why we all love to be in Maine as frequently as we can. If downtown Bar Harbor is for you its a short car ride or if you have forgotten a "must have" and downtown Southwest harbor doesn't fit your needs, Ellsworth is a short 25-30 minute drive. Id love to make this area my home someday and hope I can find a place as nice as Corson Cottage."

"We found this house to be very comfortable. It is extremely close to the main street in Northeast Harbor, where there is a grocery, bakery, cafe, and plenty of shops to explore. The bus to Acadia and Bar Harbor runs right past the house. The house itself is bright and airy with high ceilings. It has a lovely deck and we ate outside several times. The beds were extremely comfortable with high quality linens. The layout is a little interesting, with one bedroom upstairs and the others downstairs, which allowed for a private hideaway. The kitchen, though smallish in terms of work surfaces, was well equipped with decent knives and ample glassware, dishes and pots/pans. The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned (the kids got a kick out of the separate hot/cold water faucets)."

"My husband and I stayed at the Windiana for 5 nights in May. The home is extremely well maintained, clean and cozy. The views from the living area are spectacular and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The 'cabin' is nestled in a beautiful grove of trees that overlook Long Pond. The clean, fresh smell of the forest, the sounds of the birds and other animals -- everything was just delightful. It was too cold for the water but we enjoyed Cadillac Mountain and some of the other scenic areas - and Bar Harbor is such a cool, little town. Honestly, we most enjoyed just hanging out at the house, relaxing on the deck and walking around the area. I can't recommend this place highly enough and we can hardly wait to go again. The owner is responsive and our every need was met. We just loved the whole experience."

"We just spent several glorious days here, same time as last year. This was a trip worth repeating in order to run the Mt. Desert Island Marathon again. We saw a rather large buck twice, each time out by the road in the area of the apple trees along the split rail fence. We enjoyed taking the canoe out on Hodgdon Pond and paddling around. We discovered a waterfall on the Acadia Park side of the pond and took a little hike in that area. - how stunning! And what a beautiful place to wallk to. So many little pathways and clearing and ponds to explore. If the night sky is clear, the stars are giant saucers splattered just inches above the cottage ) or so it seems). I think the best part is the crisp pine-scented air combined with the autumn kaleidoscope of colors.. A feast for the senses.
