"Acadia has always been one of my favorite places, so it was a treat to bring my family for their first visit. Northeast Harbor has just the right balance of quietness, quaintness, friendliness, and ease of living after spending days exploring and hiking. The park and the other side of the island were both easily accessible. Town is just a couple of blocks away with everything you need, including a couple of places with great food and baked goods. The larger grocery store in Bar Harbor is only 15 minutes away. This brightly colored, comfortable and well-equipped cottage was the perfect place to call home. We loved the timber framing, the large kitchen, the spacious rooms, and especially the covered porch & outdoor eating area where we could linger over breakfast and morning coffee. The owners, who were onsite, were extremely hospitable and helpful with anything we needed, including recommendations for places a little off the beaten path. Many thanks to the owners for making our visit to Acadia such a special one with their hospitality and friendship. We hope to be back for a longer visit next time!"

"If the wonders of Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park are your idea of a great vacation then this house is the perfect base. We (my wife, me, an our two daughters in their 20's) just returned from a week there. First, Northeast Harbor is quiet, lovely, and has a magnificent harbor and marina; it's well-situated for all that MDI has to offer. Secondly, the house really could not be better, especially for a family of four: it is both stylish and quite comfortable. The owners really put a lot of care into its design and upkeep -- both the interior and the grounds. I think this may be about the best house we have ever rented and it certainly reflects the owners' obvious love for it."

"I turned 50 this year and decided one of the things I would like to do to celebrate was to take some of my closes friends away for a long weekend. I put quite a bit of thought into what location would be best suited for us as we all love to be active outdoors hiking, riding bikes etc. I chose ACadia and Watersigns it could not have been more perfect we hiked everyday and then returned to the house to start a fire in the fireplace and cook in the well equipped beautiful kitchen. There was nothing that we needed that was not there I had a unexpected dog visit and e mailed Tracey to make sure it was ok for the dog to stay a couple of days and she was beyond gracious offering us the use of dog bowls and leashes. The location was perfect we walked to the giant slide trail head from the house which gives you access to the park in about 5 min! Either direction out of the driveway takes you to avadventure. One day driving home we saw a 10 point buck and minutes later pulled into the house to have another buck in the backyard. We watched a enormous eagle fishing near Eagle lake. We are all still reflecting on our stay at Watersigns with huge smiles on our faces!! Kudos to you Tracey for making your home so enjoyable and welcoming. We will be back!"

"Had a wonderful stay here on relentlessly picturesque Sargent Dr. This home was the perfect quiet place to come back to after a long day of exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding towns and lakes. Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and of course, the village of Northeast Harbor are short drives away. We were 4 adults and two boys, 8 and 10 and were perfectly comfortable. Made a few meals - even blueberry and cherry pies from scratch - and the kitchen had everything we needed. But really, the view from the deck … spectacular! We hope to return to Acadia and Maine soon, and would definitely rent this home again."
