"Windiana ist a very well maintained property, clean and with a perfect location for a relaxing vacation. We have been there mid October, in summer time it must be even better when you can use the canoe and the kayaks they provide. We would love to come back another time and can highly recommend this property and the owner. Even though we could only contact by E-Mail, she was very helpful and responsive, thanks."

"This was our family's first visit to Maine and Acadia. Renting this house was the best plan we made for the trip. The quiet serenity, the wildlife, and the scenery were all amazing. The house is rustic like a cabin and well equipped like a family home. We spent our mornings watching harbor seals and identifying birds including bald eagles, osprey, loons, cormorants, various woodpeckers (including a pileated pair), kingfishers, and forest songbirds. An eagle landed in a tree right off the deck when were were eating our first breakfast. We were visited by deer and red squirrels. We hated to leave and cannot wait to return. Tern II is an enchanting place to spend a week or more. Definitely bring binoculars, even if you are not an active birder. Also: The restaurants in the small towns around the island are outstanding. Red Sky and Sips in Southwest Harbour are excellent, just to name two."

"We rented this house along with another family in June 2015 (4 adults & 4 kids). The house is spacious and well layout and gave both families plenty of room and privacy. The house was well stocked with towels, sheets, laundry room, lots of kitchen utensils and even some spices (yea - because we forgot ours!). We loved being on the lake and fishing everyday in the canoe provided. We even saw a loon nesting right by the house and the daddy loon would be swimming around while we fished in the larger section of the lake! The house is on the quiet side of the island but still so close to everything. We loved hiking off of Long Pond at the Cliff Beach Park which is just a 10 minute drive from the house. Acadia National Park is only 15 min away and so so beautiful! Southwest Harbor is only a few minutes away with a large grocery store and yummy lobster pounds! My only recommendation is to bring lots of bug spray. Being on the lake did make it prone to mosquitoes! We loved our trip to Maine and this house made it super easy and a comfortable place to rest at the end of the day."

"We enjoyed our stay at Willowbrook very much. The house easily accommodated the eleven of us. The bedrooms were all large and the beds were fine. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washer and dryer were brand new. The living room was very large and was ideal for evening gatherings. Location was great for seeing Acadia and Bar Harbor. Owner gave us some great recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. Thurston's Lobster Pound was worth the short drive."
