"We had an amazing time at this cabin! It is quiet and tucked away in a beautiful area of MDI.
The space perfectly suited the needs of our little family (2 adults, a 5 month old and a dog). All week we woke to beautiful sunrises over the water, ate breakfast at the table, and then set out to explore Acadia, Bar Harbor, Schoodic, and Southwest Harbor. We would come home at dinner time (baby goes to sleep early) and enjoyed playing cards in the peace and quiet. Then we would lay out on the nice deck and gaze at the amazing night sky. Make sure you explore the beach at different tides! We had a lot of fun looking for shells and sea glass.
The cabin had everything we needed and was clean and uncluttered. Ben was extremely quick to reply to emails and phone calls (and is super nice too).
I would definitely stay here again. I have already recommended this cabin to family and friends. Thank you for making our first family vacation a great one!"

"What a find. My wife and I took our adult daughters and husband and boyfriend to Bar Harbor. The views from our home away from home was spectacular. The home is spacious and tastefully decorated. We really enjoyed the wrap-around deck. We use the grill several nights and the gas outdoor fire pit was awesome. The owner, Bonnie, was a gem. We had a slight problem the first night and she had it fixed immediately. My car broke down and she set me up with her mechanic who was terrific.
Our youngest and boyfriend hiked over 30 miles of Acadia National Park. The bus system is super. The Light House Boat tour is worth the money and time.
Our favorite things
Gaylin's restaurant for nice lobster dinners
Side Street Cafe for great lobster rolls and lobster stew
Beerworks for duh! Beers by Maine craft breweries
Maine-ly Meats. Great BBQ
And CJ's for the best blueberry pie ala mode or blueberry soft serve (we did this about every night)
In short don't pass up this destination and lovely home"

"This cabin was amazing and perfect for our family of 3. The view, the shoreline, the babbling brook, the seclusion, the creek, the "rustic cabin..where do I begin? We absolutely loved it! We felt like we were back at summer camp only in a nice log cabin with running water, hot water, electricity, comfortable beds. The bedrooms are on the creekside of the house attached to the log cabin side by a breezeway. That made it nice for those that want to sleep in to not be disturbed by the early riser. I hope we can come back again."

"This home was the best! It really was everything we could want in a vacation home. The teens were having a fit about not going to the beach as usual, so they were a hard sell - but even they said this was one of the best vacations ever. Jennifer was extremely receptive to our questions (even the dumb ones). The house was located in a great spot close to Southwest Harbor. A main grocery store was at the bottom of the hill, and the town was minutes away by car. We were so glad we didn't stay in Bar Harbor - it is a lovely place, and we went there twice, but the crowds - forget it.... Southwest Harbor was quaint and had everything we needed. Good restaurants, ice cream, bike rentals and fairly close to all the places we wanted to visit on the Island. We were two families - we stuck the teens up in the bunk bedroom (top of A-frame). It wasn't until the 3rd day we realized there was a pool table in the basement! The porch which runs the length of the house was just gorgeous, looking out over the woods. There were a few homes up on our road, but you couldn't see them through the forest. The stars were amazing, especially from the hot tub. We were there the 2nd week of July and the weather was great - never had to use the AC, always a breeze... We called the house "our green cabin", but it was far from a cabin! I have done many vacation rentals over the years, and it was so refreshing to stay in a home that was really someone's vacation home - not an investment property with zero personal touches. Fun stuff we did on MDI: rented bikes and road around the ponds, having lunch at Jordan House (we timed the ride with help from bike store in SW Harbor and made reservations outside) - beautiful! We enjoyed sunset atop Cadillac Mt., after enjoying a lobster meal at one of the roadside lobster pounds (near north entrance to park). We spent an afternoon at Echo Lake for a "refreshing" swim. A special highlight was going to Sand Beach on the loop road, views were breathtaking. We took a lunch, left our stuff on the beach and hiked up and around Great Head Trail - a little challenging for some of us, but well worth it. I would highly recommend Eat a Pita restaurant for any meal in SW Harbor. My thanks to our hosts, and should we go Northeast - Downeast again, we will be sure to rent this special home."
