"Great place! Very Clean and roomy. The sunsets from this place are killer! Very convenient to Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park. The beach area at low tide is great for walking. Woke to deer just about every morning. If you can't take your dog with you for the day and want to walk before leaving - there are some roads to walk that have hardly any traffic on them and they go right by the water for more great views!"

"I stayed here with my wife and another couple during September of 2014. We loved how secluded the home was, the beautiful view off the back porch, and the open layout of the house. It was very clean and the large television in the living room was a wonderful addition as we were able to watch movies in the evening. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom as it made getting ready in the mornings much easier. We saw a fox walking around in the backyard on our first morning and enjoyed the wildlife that flourishes in the woods around the home.
Just a couple of negatives: the internet wifi is over cellular, so we were really limited in how much we could download (we would have been charged extra for anything over 2 GB of data). I understand the limitations of high speed internet in seclusion, but we were disappointed because we had planned on streaming Netflix in the evenings. Not a huge deal, though. Finally, the downstairs doesn't appear to be heated. Perhaps I'm wrong about that, but we certainly couldn't find a way to heat it. This is problematic if you want to use the other queen bed in the house and the weather is chilly (as it was on our visit). We made due with the one queen and one double bed, but it would have been nice to be able to use the two queens.
Overall we had a lovely experience and I would highly recommend this property with the two caveats listed above. It's a beautiful and relaxing place to stay."

"The pictures of the interior of the Boat House were very accurate. The remodel of the home was tastefully done and up to date. The views of the harbor from the living room were spectacular. We stayed at the end of the season and it was a bit chilly. The heating system was a bit of an issue as the pipes banged at night which interrupted our sleep. We also new it was a working harbor but if you were a light sleeper the fishermen and boats would wake you up early in the morning. We are early risers so that was not an issue. The owners should also let guests know that there is a room attached to the house that harbor/marina folks use. That did startle us when we first heard people in the room. Some other improvements would be to update the linens and towels, connect tv to cable in the bed room , a vacuum cleaner, and to leave instructions on how to use the VCR.
Aside from the few things we mentioned it was a nice place to stay."

"The Blue Rose Cottage was exactly as described and perfect for our stay. Very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Location was great- just a short walk to everything. We had wonderful weather and were able to fully enjoy being outside. We love Bar Harbor and the park; it is such a beautiful place."
