"My wife and I enjoyed this cabin. It was exactly what we needed. Close enough to shops, Acadia, and, restaurants … but far enough away to enjoy beautiful starry skies, read books, and breathe the sea air. If you are looking for a much needed rest, on the quiet side of the island, this it."

"We have been coming to Paul's Cottage for many years. The cottage satisfied a dream we had
for a long time. We have been coming to Maine since the middle 1950's and the idea of
buying a place on the ocean in Maine had become a strong wish but we could never
afford it. Later, with improved financial circumstances, one could contemplate buying a
place in Maine, however, then there was simply not enough time to maintain and worry
about additional property. Paul's cottage is a perfect answer. It is in an absolutely beautiful

"After a review of numerous options, my wife and I choose Wings for our 35th Anniversary celebration week. We love 'Down East' Maine and had planned on biking and hiking in Acadia National park when an unexpected broken foot (a month earlier) forced a change of plans. While we no longer could explore the beauties of Mountain Desert Island as originally intended, we arrived at the cottage and realized we really didn't want to leave the back porch overlooking Western Bay with Cadilac Mountain in the distance to the east and Long Island to the West. With opportunities to kayak and enjoy the water right out the back door, or the sun room and windows to enjoy the view regardless of the weather, this is a very special place!"

"We found this house to be very comfortable. It is extremely close to the main street in Northeast Harbor, where there is a grocery, bakery, cafe, and plenty of shops to explore. The bus to Acadia and Bar Harbor runs right past the house. The house itself is bright and airy with high ceilings. It has a lovely deck and we ate outside several times. The beds were extremely comfortable with high quality linens. The layout is a little interesting, with one bedroom upstairs and the others downstairs, which allowed for a private hideaway. The kitchen, though smallish in terms of work surfaces, was well equipped with decent knives and ample glassware, dishes and pots/pans. The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned (the kids got a kick out of the separate hot/cold water faucets)."
