"The cottage and the surrounding property were just wonderful. The interior of the cottage was rustic and unfinished. This added to the overall character of the place. The furniture was in good shape and the sofa was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for just about anything you can dream up for a meal. The cabinets hold a lot of goodies. Some of which we didn't discover until later in the stay. But that was probably because we didn't look thoroughly enough. We had a few meals on the table out on the deck to enjoy the view and to take advantage of the phenomenal weather. Words cannot fully describe the beauty of a Maine sunrise. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday soon. Ed with SeaScape Kayaks was a great tour guide. I highly recommend them for a great tour of the neighboring islands. We bought lobster from the Winter Harbor Coop and cooked them at the cottage. They were delicious. This place is so quiet. The only sounds are the gentle lapping of the waves, the occasional lobster boat, loons, eagles, etc. Thanks for a great week."

"Spent a week here with my family of two adults and two teens. Everyone loved it from the minute we saw it. The house is adorable, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The windows facing the water provide incredible views whether it's sunny, rainy, cloudy and/or foggy. My kids were worried b/c there's no ac, but (as we told them), there was no need for it with the ocean breezes. Between the cool breezes, sound of the ocean, and the pure darkness, we had the best sleep in a long time! The location is secluded (there are neighbors but we didn't see or hear them) but close enough to Schoodic (10 min) and Mount Desert for day trips. If you go, definitely have breakfast at JM Gerrish -- that was our favorite nearby restaurant. Also, the Tuesday farmers market was a lot of fun. The owners provided great recommendations in their guide book. We would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to take in the magic of Maine!"

"My family and I stayed at this house in beautiful Prospect Harbor this past 2014 season. We had a great time, as we love our Maine vacations. This house was just the right size for our family of 4. It is nice and open in the main living area with a beautiful view of the lighthouse at Prospect Harbor. This is one of our favorite locations in Maine. We felt right at home and so comfortable! We saw an eagle, osprey (up close!), deer, and even a porcupine which climbed a tree and took a nice long nap. At dark, be sure to stargaze out on the deck for a fantastic view of the stars.
The owner of the house was great to deal with. Any time we had contact before and after our stay, our emails or phone calls were answered promptly. The house was clean and ready for our visit.
We would recommend this property for a small family, or up to 6 people would be a comfortable fit. The rocky shoreline at the property was fun to explore! There are plenty of other sights to see and places to visit that are close by. One of the favorites is Schoodic Point where the ocean meets the huge Maine rocky coastline. There are lots of trails to hike there, as well as at Acadia National Park. And leave lots of time for relaxing!

"My wife, two teens, and mother in law we're in Maine for a wedding. The Ray home was an ideal place to enjoy quintessential Maine. Very comfortable, we'll decorated, secluded, great ocean views, a fire ring by the rocks, and lobster boats coming and going. Wicked awesome. Thanks Rays"
