"I have fallen in love with our National Parks and enlisted three long-time friends to tackle Acadia with me. We hunted high and low for the perfect lodging on MDI and surely found it at Summerside Cottage. Location is so ideal for all activities--we walked to all our meals (except for Thurston's which is the best lobstah experience on MDI), walked to kayaking and biking rentals and to the Village Green to catch the Island Explorer and all of the park entrances are a short drive away. The cottage is sparkling clean and wonderfully appointed for four or more. Bedding and towels are plentiful and great quality and the kitchen has everything a group will need. We all commented on how comfy all the beds are. We met the neighbors one night while sitting on the back deck having a glass of wine before walking to dinner and felt a part of the neighborhood. Logan and Hong gave us many ideas for restaurants and activities and were immediately responsive to any questions we had. We all would recommend this cottage for a variety of groups and I would love to return one day to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Summerside Cottage!"

"Torri couldn't have been more helpful as we reserved the lower level of the Yellow House a few days before we arrived. She was a pleasure to work with, was fast and efficient and it was a great way to start our trip to one of our most favorite places on the Maine Coast. The rental was clean, beautifully decorated - we had everything you could imagine but the place wasn't cluttered. The bed was great - with plenty of extra blankets etc - the shower was super and the towels fluffly and soft - there was even an LL Bean bag filled with beach towels. The view from the living room and the front porch is fabulous - the constantly changing harbor was entertaining and peaceful. We were delighted to have Direct TV and wireless internet. We walked to the Harbor Cafe for breakfast and 44 North for coffee - both great spots - in fact we had a incredibly sweet and delish lobster roll at the Harbor Cafe! We took the Mail boat out to Isle au Haut and it's always fun to see the area from the water - fun trip. This is a great location, clean, plenty of space for my husband and myself and very good communication from Torri about the rental - I would definitely recommend it."

Excellent location for visiting Acadia National Park and Mount Desert
"I stayed at the Corson Cottage in mid August and found the place to be a great central location for visiting Mount Desert Island and all it has to offer. The cottage was extremely well kept and had everything you would need to stay for the week. I was able to rent for just 3 nights , even though usually weekly, due to an opening. I am very glad I was able to. There are plenty of places to visit/hike all around the cottage. It is just a short drive to the shops/restaurants in Southwest Harbor. It is a short drive to Bar Harbor or Bass Harbor. The apartment has an upper level which has two twin beds. Downstairs had a queen bed which was very comfortable. There is a porch out back where you can sit or grill (just make sure you use bug spray in August). Mary was helpful with information when I asked but did not bother you at all. I would recommend this cottage for any visits to the area, great value."

"To start we were a group of four adults who are active and in our late 40's early 50's. We also brought our two dogs. The photos do not do this beautiful home enough justice. The kitchen if fully stocked and very user friendly to cook and prepare meals in. The open floor plan is awesome. The location is perfect. An easy drive to Acadia national park, and stores to shop at. Bar Harbor is 25 minutes away, but the drive is nice. The point being it is quiet and away from it all, but close enough to everything to enjoy. The fenced in yard is fantastic for the dogs. The views from the back porch are awe inspiring. We rented Kayaks for three days from Scotty's rental. They deliver and pick up right to the home. The owner is very accommodating and easy to reach and contact. Do yourself a huge favor and don't pass on this house. Some may want to be closer to the park or one of the Harbors, but the views and night time star gazing from here cannot be beat. The washer and dryer were also a big plus as we were able to pack lighter. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Wings Cottage."
