"Spent 2 weeks, first was a romantic getaway, second we invited our daughter and 2 granddaughters, ages 10 and 9. Excellent time of adventure for all, with hiking, looking for seals, watching the lobster boats, cooking in the gourmet kitchen, and enjoying family time together! Home is well laid out, offering multi-generational accommodations with ample private and communal spaces. Great place to unwind and unplug! Highly recommend!"

"We rented the Sealight from June 15-23, 2014. There were 13 of us, grandparents, parents and 7 grandchildren ages 19-8. We all had an amazing time! The sunroom was the best part of the house for us, we all ended up there after a long day. The remodel that is taking place just makes the place even better! The bathrooms could use updated, but I am sure that will get put on the list after the summer vacation. We had more than enough space for the 13 of us. We loved the beach, the shells and rocks we found, the sunsets were amazing, waking up to the waterview every morning was definitely worth the drive to Bar Harbor. We would most definitely rent this house again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

Comfortable, full-stocked cottage with wonderful views
"My husband, 11-year-old daughter and I spent a week at the end of August at this cottage. We had compared a lot of houses on Mount Desert Island before selecting this one. We were not disappointed. The cottage is spotlessly clean, well-stocked and comfortable. The master is a large size. The second bedroom is cozy and has a terrific view. The deck was our favorite place to relax after a busy day of hiking/sailing/rock-climbing. It is about a 15-20 minute drive into Bar Harbor. Very peaceful. The washer/dryer was convenient. The kitchen is fully stocked. It even had a coffee grinder! We have rented houses before and never had such a nicely stocked kitchen. Wi-Fi is good. The upstairs great room was a great place to relax and watch TV in the evening. It was removed enough that it did not disturb anyone who wanted to turn in early.
The listing description and photos are accurate.
Our hosts were gracious, friendly and helpful. Their recommendations and suggestions made our stay better. They recommended the Seafood Ketch in Bass Harbor. We enjoyed it so much we went back on our last day in Bar Harbor.
I highly recommend this rental."

"My husband, 6 year old daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a relaxing week here in late July. It was a beautiful week in a gorgeous spot. I was concerned that the cabin is on a pond, however after doing a little searching online, I realized that this is a 740 acre pond! We saw a few people out enjoying the water, but overall it was very peaceful. The cabin is exactly as you see it, there were no surprises, it was clean, well organized, and Cindy is an absolute pleasure to work with. All questions prior to arrival were answered, and she greeted us on the day we arrived to give us a tour of the property and make sure we had everything we needed.
We spent time in Acadia biking, hiking, and relaxing at Sand Beach. We did venture into Bar Harbor but quickly realized that was to crowded for us, we were anxious to get back to our peaceful home and listen to the loons on the lake, and visit the fish my daughter named "Roxy". There are a lot of antique stores along the way, and Ellsworth/Bucksport are both a short drive away with nice family restaurant. We recommend Finns Irish Public House, Union River Lobster House, and Mainly Meat all in Ellsworth.
We are looking forward to coming back again, and exploring more of the area!"
