  • Great Autumn Getaway!

    Dan, Nahtanha and kids!

"My family and I really enjoyed our weekend stay! This was our first time visiting Maine during the peak foliage season, and we were not disappointed! As soon as we arrived, the kids hit the nearby playground. The home was very clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were the right size for our large family. It felt like home away from home! We spent one day at Acadia National Park (about 45 mins away), and really enjoyed the autumn color. Schoodic Point was a favorite for all of us, and was only a short drive away from this home. We would definitely recommend this home to our family and friends!"

  • Second visit was as wonderful as the first

"Beautifully restored, historic house makes you feel a real part of this charming, low-key, friendly town. The proximity to Schoodic Point for biking, birding, photography, and ocean watching is wonderful. We didn't even go to Acadia on MDI this year - Schoodic has what we value most (beauty, outdoor activities) without the crowds."

"My husband and I stayed at the beautifully furnished cottage in Winter Harbor, Maine during our recent trip to Acadia. We chose to stay in Winter Harbor because it was away from the tourist traffic in Bar Harbor. You can take the ferry to Bar Harbor or take a drive there if you like to see the other sights. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and even has a pot to cook your lobsters in. The Winter Harbor Lobster Co-op is just down the street, where you can purchase fresh whole lobster or just the meat during the week. The cottage had the most comfortable bed, and was complete with a fluffy down comforter. There were little vases of flowers from the garden left by the bedside and on the table where we ate our meals. During the summer months there is a farmers market in town once a week, where you can purchase Maine blueberries, fresh vegetables, homemade bread, and other Maine products from the area. There is also an IGA, postoffice, art galleries, and library in town for your other needs. During our stay there was a celebration of the arts going on in town. We attended a gallery opening, and we also got to go to the final presentation of the summer's art program. It was a lovely local performance where we saw a steel drum band perform, and got to view all the art created during the summer programs. My husband and I will be returning to Winter Harbor, next time we plan on doing some kayaking. We loved our stay at the cottage in Winter Harbor."

  • Great Stay

    Anonymous

"Just returned from a 2 week stay and we loved it. The 2BR unit has 2 queen beds and all the amenities you could ask for. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions, since this was our first trip to Maine and there were many brochures of the area in the condo. We would definitely rent again. A trip to Acadia should be in your"bucket list". Recommendations: Fishermans Inn for dinner, Chases for breakfast and Gerrittsons for that midday ice cream. Do not miss Chapter Two in Corea for some unique items."
