  • Beautiful

"My family and I rented the waterfall cottage for the 2nd time this past august and enjoyed it more than last year. The kids were so excited to go back because of all the fun they had last year and could not wait to fish and swim off the dock and have fun. The cottage is so clean and kid friendly and the sound of the waterfall is relaxing. Cant wait to come back next year!"

"My husband and I loved our week on Pleasant Pond. The cottage was everything we hoped for clean, well stocked and a beautiful location. We really enjoyed our week on the lake."

  • Beautiful relaxing vacation

"We stayed here with 4 adults, a 7 year old child and a dog. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived because the photos do not do the house justice. The entry level has 2 bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with a queen bed) and a bathroom. The bedrooms were very pretty, clean and comfortable with ceiling fans and air conditioners. The basement level (one level down) has a bigger bathroom and a room with 2 twin beds. There is also a loft area above the living room which had a small sleeping area which was perfect for our 7 year old. The house was clean and well maintained with a nice supply of dishes, towels, etc. We spent alot of time at the waterfront area which was small but worked well for our group. The dock was twice as wide as shown in the photos and more sturdy than I was expecting. The hammock was a terrific place to read and watch the water. The lake itself has boat traffic but it was very quiet and minimal while we were there and we had a great time exploring with the 2 kayaks and canoe that were on the property. It is a great place to fish and swim - there's a rocky entry and bottom for the swimming area but it was fine with swim shoes. One warning that there are alot of stairs to get down to the waterfront so it would be difficult for someone with disabilities and would be alot of work with very young children. But it worked perfectly for a 7 year old and a medium sized dog and gave us extra exercise. The owner was very responsive via email before we arrived and was quick to answer any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend this rental as a beautiful stay for someone looking to relax and enjoy the water!"

  • True Maine camp experiance

"Our family loved Ed's camp on parker pond. It provided us a true Maine camp experience. The comfort of the cabin and bunk house were a great retreat for my wife, 10 year old and 13 year old sons and myself. We will never forget the beautiful boardwalk that makes its way from the camp through the forest to the lake. We paddled, fished and explored the lake and its islands for days. We saw Loons, eagles, deer, fox and lots of fish! The local Farm stands and cafe's in the surrounding area were a big hit for lunch out or making dinner at camp. On a rainy day we went to the State Museum in Augusta which provided 4 floors of incredible Maine heritage. We cant wait to return soon."
