"We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage in early August. This is the fourth time we have rented through VRBO and this was by far the best rental yet! The owner was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. The home was very comfortable, well furnished and well supplied with kitchen items, fun Fiestaware dishes and plenty of sheets and towels. As stated in previous reviews, the pictures do not do the cottage justice! The lake was beautiful and clean, perfect for swimming or boating. The owners provided a canoe and two kayaks, which we took advantage of daily. The dock was great, with stairs for entering the water, which helped avoid the rocky shoreline. There are a fair amount of stairs from the home to the lake, providing multiple patios/decks, with outdoor chairs, which allowed moving from sun to shade accordingly during the day. The night sky was amazing for star gazing and we saw spectacular meteor showers a few nights. There are neighbors on either side, but we rarely saw or heard anyone during our stay. The property as many trees and provided a nice amount of privacy. This is the ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Our 15 and 16 year old and medium sized dog all have a great time and we all agree that this vacation home deserves a return trip!"

"It is with the most sincere pleasure that I write this review. I don't even know where to begin; hiking Mt. Phillip, fishing, kayaking, exploring and oh, those cinnimon and blueberry muffins at Days! And just the chance to take a step back and re-aquaint ourselves with the family. It seems these days that life pushes us so fast, and up at your home, the time just wrapped us all together and allowed everyone to have so much fun together.
Seeing the bald eagles/ospreys and hearing the loons on our pre-dinner lake cruises just topped off our day. Exploring the islands (Crooked, Blueberry, Taconnic, Hoyt) and taking the boat upstream to town for coffee in the morning was a great way to start. And tell your husband I almost had that big Pike!
But what I enjoyed most was seeing everyone enjoying themselves. We cannot wait to get back.
By the way, my wife wants your kitchen as well as wanting to know where you got your pillows and linens!
A true, whole hearted Thanks!!!

"My husband and I and our golden retriever had a wonderful, relaxing vacation here. Just what we needed! The cabin is extremely nice, nicely decorated, comfortable, and accommodating. Hot tub, was very nice, but only got to use it twice, as it was unseasonably warm in this area. So glad we brought light summer clothing. You could get sunburned sitting out on the deck in early afternoon. However, we loved the hiking trail nearby and absolutely loved the lake. We had a continental breakfast at the lake several mornings. Our golden really enjoyed the lake and watching the small fish come up to her! The neighbors as we walked to lake each day were very friendly and helpful. In fact one couple recommended an ice cream place and we fell in love! Glad however it was not too close or we would have eaten too much. Fielder's Choice has the "Best" ice cream we have ever had! Site seeing nearby cities was great and sampled apples etc. in nearby Orchard with retail store, and also found a wonderful store in Hallowell to buy lobster, scallops, etc. All in all we had a fabulous time and loved the cabin. Next time we will need to come later in Sept. or first of October to be sure it is not too hot. But still worth it. Thank you again Kathy for having a great cabin."

"Our little family had a great time over there (with our two girls : 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 years old). The cabin is a few feet from the water. The view from the cabin is amazing. The lake is beautiful. There is a little beach and a long deck a 30 seconds walk away. Also on the premises a little parc for kids, but which would need some love. Gerry is always quick to answer our queries. The spot/campground has a number of cabins, many were not occupied while we were there so did not feel cramped. Outside of the spot, road not great for walking. And not much things to do with kids if you drive around as the surroundings a bit run down. However, to stay in or out of cabin, and appreciate nature, I would highly recommend."
