  • Great vacation spot

"My husband and I loved our week on Pleasant Pond. The cottage was everything we hoped for clean, well stocked and a beautiful location. We really enjoyed our week on the lake."

  • Perfect Getawat

"My husband and I rented the cottage for our 5 year anniversary and had the most wonderful time. We were arriving late on Thursday night and Kathie had arranged to have a light left on and the heat turned on. It was a pleasure to arrive to a well-lit and warm home and a testament to how easy it was to work with the owner during the rental. The home was spotless and held everything we needed for our short stay, from extra blankets and towels to pots and pans and a wonderful array of local magazines. We utilized the Wi-Fi to listen to music and enjoyed our time cooking, relaxing in the hot tub and appreciating the peaceful Maine woods. We took Kathie's advice in the thoughtful and carefully executed "instructions" for the cabin and went for a short hike down to the Basin to take in the views and built fires on two occasions using the fire pit and ample firewood. We raved so highly of the place when we returned that our house sitter booked a trip up with his girlfriend for next month. We cannot wait for our next trip back!"

  • Wonderful retreat location yet convenient!

"Really enjoyed our stay and working with the owner. Very friendly and helpful. It was more like staying in a friend's home than a rental!"

  • Loved the Loon's Nest!

"The Loon's Nest provided our two families with a wonderful place to kick back, relax and unwind for our summer vacation. The house was spacious and beautiful. The kitchen was easy to work in, a/c helped on the hot days, the grill was brand new, washer and dryer were so good to have, and we had all the firewood we needed for evening campfires. The view of Lake Anabessacook was spectacular. We fished, kayaked, swam, and explored the lake. The loons' call was beautiful...a peaceful and ghostly sound. We enjoyed seeing the loons and all the nature around the house. I definitely recommend this property for rental. You won't be disappointed!"

Your family will love all the water fun they will have when staying in Embden vacation rentals.

Central Maine Cottages by Historical Sites

There are a lot of historical sites in Emden, and Central Maine cottages can make sure your family stays in the perfect location to see them all. You will want to see Fort Foster, which is situated on 88-acres and is a naval bunker from 1910. Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is also a site you won't want your family to miss. If you are big into historical architecture, Embden will not disappoint. The Victoria Mansion has unique architecture that will leave your mind in wonder.

Plan a Day Full of Museums tours
