  • Perfect summer getaway

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Loon's Nest and it was even better than we remembered. The location can't be beat - Lake Annabessacook is large enough to offer lots of recreational opportunity, but small enough to feel very private. Steve has outfitted the property with kayaks, a rowboat, big innertubes, a paddleboat and plenty of life vests for all sizes - we emailed to let him know that a gasket was missing from the paddleboat and he brought a new one over two days later! The back yard is perfect for get-togethers, the dock is clean and comfortable and the water was gorgeous with a couple of loon families who swam right along with us and sang to us at night. We brought stand up paddle boards with us and had a blast. The house has plenty of room with a light and airy layout and fantastic views of the lake, very clean, well-stocked kitchen, gas grill, plenty of towels. Great location, 5 minutes from the grocery store, within an hour's drive of Freeport, several coastal beaches and plenty of other Maine beauty. Definitely recommend and will plan to stay again."

  • best vacation

"me and my husband went for our anniversary, i have never met such nice people, the owners were amazing, even went as far as having one of their friends bring us a mixer i needed to make a cheese cake ! the place is amazing. you feel very secluded, even though there are more camps near by. the enclosed porch is so comfortable, with amazing view. you can sit there and hear the loons. the sitting area outside with barbeque is wonderful too. the water is right there.the lake is so clean and clear. we loved our stay there very much and definitely will return !!"

  • Beauty at the Cabin

"We can not thank you and your family enough for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your piece of heaven at the cabin. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed many activities from white water rafting to ATV trails. We also took a day trip to Acadia National Park and enjoyed the views and also took a trip to the Canada for a day. In between all, we enjoyed rest and relaxation and no cell phone was the best for us. We found a great place for dinner up on 201 just above The Forks called the Inn on the River, this little place was just like eating at home for us and the finest restaurant in the area. The cabin was just so quaint and had everything that was needed. The only item I was not able to locate was a Iron so we purchased one and left it at the cabin as a small thank you. We will certainly contact you again to rent the cabin this coming fall and are hoping to gather the children together during their college winter break and all of stay there and enjoy skiing at SugarLoaf. • A wonderfully close, home away from home, when returning our daughter to the University in Maine

"We were looking for a lakeside spot to stay in with our daughter before she started her second year at the University. We were so happy with the accommodations. The cottage was spotless and the grounds were too. We enjoyed the kayaks and the campfire each day and our dog had never been happier. In fact he jumped out of the car and ran down the dock and dove in upon arrival. Funny because he doesn't know how to swim. Anyway, I highly recommend the cottage to anyone who is looking for a clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage with an amazing view. We look forward to another stay next summer."
