"We had a lovely week in this wonderful home tucked into the trees and looking out on a beautiful lake. The house is only a mile from a nice little town with a country store and a couple of restaurants, yet it feels like you are in the middle of the woods because of the trees on either side. I don't think the pictures that we saw ahead of time did the view justice, it was such a pleasure to gaze out onto the lake at all times of the day (the sunsets were particularly breathtaking). We spent the entire week in and around the water -- a sunfish and a two person kayak are available to renters, and the lake was perfect for swimming as well. Our entire family had a relaxing and fun week in this lovely home, I highly recommend it!"

"We stayed at Kathie's place for a weekend in November. When we pulled up, we were blown away by how beautiful the place was. Kathie was nice enough to make sure that when we arrived (after dark), the lights were on in the house and we could easily make our way inside. The house was warm and welcoming and we were so excited to check out all the space. It's exactly what we wanted for a little getaway weekend and had everything you may need right inside. The decor is perfect and the bathrooms are spacious (as is the rest of the house)! We got to bring our two small pups and they enjoyed the place as much as we did. The hot tub was perfect for the two of us and the wrap around deck with gate was perfect for sitting outside with a cup of coffee and the dogs. The house has plenty of outdoor space with two fire pits! We loved that. We also made use of the grill and had a nice dinner in one night. The walk to the lake is a little far but we didn't mind and since it was November, we weren't really staying here for the lake access. The setting was quiet and serene, perfect for unplugging. We didn't want to leave! We would highly recommend this house and we can't wait to come back next year! It was exactly what we wanted and the photos don't do it justice! Perfect host and perfect house!"

"Our best family vacation yet. We enjoyed an August/Sept week with our family of four, including 2 tween daughters, as well as a Grandfather and Uncle along with us. Even with 6 of us, the house was never crowded. We spent almost everyday kayaking, swimming in the lake, and playing in the yard. We also rented a pontoon boat from Collins Boat Rental for a few days to explore the lake and go tubing. The lake was so peaceful. We all really enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and the call of the loons. We even got to see the bald eagles soar by after roosting on the islands. This beautiful home exceeded our expectations and had everything you could ever want. By far the best property on the lake!"

From age 2 to 78, all loved our family vacation week.
"This remote place was perfect for our extended family of 24, 11 of them children under 7. No neighbors were close by to be disturbed by the 6 two-three year olds that took turns with crying. The playground swings and merry-go-round were used daily. We enjoyed practically everything:canoes, kayaks, water slide, pontoon boat, game room tennis court, basketball court, volleyball, and the campfire area for S'mores. The lake was comfortable for swimming(not too warm or cold in mid-August) and the islands fun to explore. I loved the loons, easily seen and heard. The kitchen was convenient with plenty of dishes to feed the gang. The chalet was clean with comfortable furniture and plenty of room to spread out or be together. Lee Howard, owner, was easily reached during the week, and eager to make sure we all had a good time. We would definitely return."
