"Tidewatch was our "home away from home" for a week of family fun and incredible sightseeing. From the second we arrived at the house we knew it was going to be a great vacation. The house was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was our favorite spot due to the views of the water from the french doors. It is very well equipped with every cooking utensil you could need. The screened porch allows you to open the french doors and enjoy the breeze and ocean air and keeps the house cool. We enjoyed sitting in the screened porch or on the deck and watching the boats. Walking the beach looking for shells and sea glass was relaxing, yet great fun for the four of us. Rogue Bluffs State Park is very close to the house and a beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor and to Lubec and Eastport, but hanging out at the house and walking the beach were our favorite things to do. Comfortable furniture and beds made everyone happy! Mike was a great source of information about the area and recommended Helen's restaurant which we all loved. We can't wait to go back to Rogue Bluffs and Tidewatch!"

"Our third year in Cutler and again at Sea Ledges. It seems like home to us. The folks we deal with for lobster and clams know our name and treat us like one of the family. All the people in this part of Maine are the friendliest people we have ever met and we have traveled the world as Airline pilot and Flight attendant. Of course Helen's in Machias, Frank's in Lubec and the Chowder House are great places to eat, but we found another place that is typical of this part of the country. As you drive into Machias just past the Gulf Station, on your left you will see a shack with people lined up in front of it, The Riverside take out. STOP! The food is out of this world and there are places to sit and have a lunch by the water. All the places that have outside seating are dog friendly. The two guys that run the Riverside fixed Bailey our Chocolate Lab, a cup of ice cream that we almost fought him for. We had our family visit us for couple of days and they loved their short stay. When we left, we had a nice chat with Julie and Mike who are the managers, and it was saying good by to family and good friends. When you visit this part of Maine, you not only have a wonderful time, you will have a wonderful experience."

"Beautifully maintained cottage nestled among dense white birch and spruce forest with spectacular ocean view and sand spur beach. Peaceful and quiet and we were enthralled with the amazing night skies and star gazing that Downeast is famous for. Enjoyed the close proximity to our excursions- 1 hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor, 2 hours to Lubec and Campobello Island and 4 hours away from Fundy National Park, New Brunswick (passports required). Enjoyed great dining from Bar Harbors many fine restauarants as well as Ruth & Wimpy's Diner in Hancock and 44 Degrees North in nearby Milbridge. Cottage was comfortably furnished with everything in good repair. Owner George was always available by telephone if needed but never intrusive."

"Wow! What a beautiful stay! This was our first experience with the Acadia area and won't be our last. We loved the scenery, the cottage is right on the bay. We were able to watch the lobster boats right in front of us, the changing tides, bonfires at night on the rocks watching the stars, and reading by the water. We took walks to Petit Manan for the scenery and blue berry picking, Schoodic Peninsula for breathtaking views, walking Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park. So much, can't fit it all in! Laura's cottage was just right, with all the supplies you need for baking, bedding, and privacy! We hope to return!"
