"This home on Beals Island is a gorgeous home - perfection in every last detail! My daughter and I just loved the home and also the location - no traffic jams and parking problems here! Phil is a great host and can tell you many places of interest to see. If you enjoy peace and quiet and very interesting surroundings, this is the place to be. You can always drive where the crowds are, but you will love coming back to this home. We plan on returning next year."

"This was my Downeast dream vacation! I've been coming to this area since I was a kid, but had never stayed right on the ocean before. Tom and Cathy's house was the perfect place -- beautiful and comfortable, well appointed with all the amentities I could ask for (nice dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer), very clean and well-maintained; and most important of all, it's in a gorgeous, peaceful location with a great view. I felt so at home in this lovingly restored farmhouse, smelling the sea air and the sweetgrass; watching the birds from the screened-in front porch in the early morning with my coffee. The location is great for day trips as well; Eastport, Machias, Quoddy Head, The Reversing Falls right down the road...I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to get off the beaten path. Thanks Tom and Cathy!"

"This is a wonderful location on coastal Maine away from the shopping malls. You can hike on the rocky shore and in the surrounding woods, or sit on the deck and read with the sound of the ocean and the occasional lobster boat."

"my husband, myself and our 2 year old dog returned to the cabin this summer. We loved it so much last year that we knew we wanted to return. The cabin is very secluded and equipped with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. the only sounds to hear came from nature, crows and loons calling every evening and we caught several trout fishing off the dock. We love this spot so much, so many opportunities for hiking and the outdoors. the nearby town of Machias is small and no touristy which is really great. This is just one of the best vacation spots we've been to."
