  • Memorial Day Weekend 2014

"Our family had a fantastic time at the Lakefront Retreat. The owners are very welcoming. The cabin and the property is beautifully maintained in a quiet, private setting. The cabin has all the amenities of home. Junior Lake is a pristine, beautiful lake. The fishing for Salmon was excellent. The owners were very knowledgeable about the area and where and how to catch fish. Within a short drive you can get gas, bait, groceries. The owners and the people in the area are happy to help with any assistance you may need. It is a wonderful retreat location when you want to get away from it all. We will definitely make return visits. We highly recommend this Lakefront Retreat on Junior Lake."

  • Great "away from it all" vacation!

"Our family (5 adults and 6 kids under the age of 10) enjoyed our summer stay in Lakeville. The home and location were great for our big family. We were afraid that 1.5 baths would be a challenge but it worked out fine and we had plenty of room both inside the house and outside. The lake is a short walk from the house and the kids enjoyed picking blueberries by the lake and playing in the water. There's lots of woods to explore and my boys enjoyed the "hikes" we went on. Lakeville is a good distance but yet central from the "touristy" areas but we did take a few day trips. Acadia (about 2-2.5 hours), Eastport (about 2.0 hours), and Bangor (about 1.5 hours). You'll want to buy your groceries before arrival as it's about 45 minutes to a grocery store (in Lincoln), but once you're settled, you have everything you need for your home away from home! Bob and Debbie were great to work with and we couldn't have asked for better "landlords"! Our only complaint was we didn't get to see a moose! :)"

  • cabin on The Big Narrows Lincoln

"My husband and I both enjoyed staying in this cabin on The Big Narrows in Lincoln. It was a beautiful setting. We had perfect weather. The cabin had everything we needed in all the right settings. There were loons and a blue heron nearby. The swimming water was very clean. The swimming area was shallow. Beautiful for Kayaking at any part of day.Not noisy ,very peaceful. Good mattresses. The bathroom organized and clean with washer dryer. The toilet seat needs replacing however. The location perfect access to Lincoln and other parts of Maine"

  • Get away from it all!

"This log cabin is amazing! It is absolutely immaculate inside and beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable during our stay. We loved that we could bring our small dog with us and he absolutely enjoyed the dock and swimming in the river! We also loved that the owners allowed us to use their kayaks and took the two person kayak out exploring one full day. Anything major is about 20 mins away, which for us was not a problem, but there is a small gas station, grill/pub, and town store combination about 10 mins or less from the property if you need something desperately. Candace was a great communicator throughout and made our stay very easy. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Greenville Inn. Next time, we will book in advance (they say to make reservations one week in advance) at the The Blair Hill Inn as well. These were slightly more upscale dining areas. We saw many moose along Routes 6 + 15 at dusk which is both exciting and nerve wracking at night! We took a moose cruise from The Birches which was just okay. We saw the tail end of one moose only. However, it was a nice way to see the lake. I wish we could stay here longer. We will definitely book again. Thank you so much Candace. This place is a real gem. You should post more pictures."
