"My husband and I wanted to spend some time in New England, because when summer hits, I want to go NORTH. This was my first time in central Maine (exluding Kittery/York) and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our goals were: relax, witness some of the beautiful nature that our Creator has made, relax, have fun, and relaaaaax. This cabin was just what we needed for that. The views of the lake, from nearly every room thanks to the many windows/sliding doors, kept us feeling serene. The kitchen was properly equipped so I was able to make dinner a few nights, which is a relaxing feature for me! We appreciated the modern bathroom - we were in a cabin, but we certainly didn't have to rough it!
The cabin was great for the 2 of us, but it would likely be cramped for any more than that. The twin bed on the screened-in porch would accommodate one, but it was honestly pretty chilly most nights so I'm glad we had the upstairs king size bed!
While visiting Pine Point, we took day trips to: Eastport/Calais, Bangor, Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park, and one day we went for a drive just to see Mt. Katahdin - no hiking up the mountain for pregnant me. The location in Lincoln was great for a small town feel, with plenty of whatever you needed around. (Little did we know upon arriving that Lincoln is one of the bigger towns in the area!)
If you're planning to eat in town, the Timberhouse Restaurant is incredibly affordable and has fantastic homemade pies. Our last night in town we visited Gillmor's, where we each had a "down east potato boat" - a massive baked potato stuffed with haddock and smothered with lobster cream sauce. That may very well bring us back to Maine another time. ;) The Farmer's Market was in Lincoln on Friday (and Calais on Tuesday) so be sure to check it out if you're looking for handmade items or homemade food."

"We had a great vacation with our entire family at this awesome cabin...it had everything we wanted. The kids loved kayaking and swimming in the cove. Nights were spent making smores by the campfire and in the hot tub. We had one rainy day where the pool table and ping pong table in the basement came in handy. The only problem was the week went by too fast...we would definitely come back again !!!"

"This chalet style cabin is welcoming and comfy. The big, beautiful windows in the front were great for viewing the ever changing big sky. They also provided a bonus viewing of the neighborhood deer with fawn ,and a big, healthy red fox scampering by at least once daily , and lightning bugs galore! We rode our ATV from Rockwood to Jackman and saw a bear in his berry patch. We boated on Moosehead to our hearts' content. The cabin offers all the amenities . The beds are well appointed and comfortable. Rockwood...the way life should be. Thanks Don & Donna Daigle for being attentive and gracious hosts."

"We had another wonderful week at Three Sisters again this summer. Your place is really perfect for our large group and we are so grateful for the opportunity to rent from you! The set up is so perfect for multiple generations, as everyone has their own space to retreat to, but the main house remains the primary gathering space for meals, games, etc. The tennis courts are a HUGE bonus! In years past we also sought out town tennis courts in other rentals, but here, it's all available in one place. We also really appreciate the use of your kayaks. Finally, we don't have to lug our own all the way from Pennsylvania! The beach area, dock, deck and main house are our favorite spots, but there is really not a single thing we can complain about. This is a gorgeous property with every amenity. We have been here two summers now, and everyone in our family is hooked. We have made special memories already, and we hope to keep coming back for many more years. Thank you so much for sharing Three Sisters so that we can all enjoy this perfect place for families to reconnect, make memories and enjoy a wonderful vacation together."
